youtube is changing my life

KZbin is changing my life ??? Guys it’s not a secret that TikTok can be blamed for everyone’s attention spans being reduced to a squirrels. lol. And it’s not a secret that KZbin viewership is down compared to 2019. So you’re probably like Kiera - then how can KZbin even be changing your life? bffr.
Although I’m grateful and proud of the videos I’ve made over on TikTok, I can’t help but feel like the only way I’m going to progress is by adhering to the TikTok “formula”. You know the formula I’m talking about (yell loud in the first 3 seconds, show an unrealistic result or lifestyle, sell solution for said unrealistic result or lifestyle). As hard as I try to be that kind of person, I just can’t find the balance I’m looking for. And in the pursuit of progress, I’ve lost sight of WHY I make these videos in the first place. I feel like this is a theme you’ve probably heard before, but it got to the point where I was like ~what am I doing?~
With that being said, I’m still posting on TikTok because I need to pay rent and because I still enjoy it. lmao. But making the videos I really want to make can only be done on a platform that supports longer formats. I want to contribute to the lives of the people who choose to watch my videos. I would also love to feel like I’m not adding to the obsurdity that can frequently be found on social media. Social media needs more cinema and storytelling. And KZbin is the way for me to do that.
