Hey Ivan! Glad to hear you made that move to take a week off to care of yourself. Really important to step away from work and social media when you feel burnt out and need to recharge. I agree with see more commuters on cold days. Lately I figured I'd have an easy ride to the Brooklyn Bridge on a colder day but many cyclists, ebikes and escooters are toughening it out. There's something about the freedom on your own personal ride that is addictive, and I feel many peeps don't want to give it up just to then ride the subway. Ain't nothing wrong with this, as I'm one of them too 😂
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching this one as well Sabaki! I wanted to release this video to talk about that because I wanted to show others that it’s ok to do things like that for self care and mental health. I get that we’re always grinding and hustling and that’s part of our culture in NYC, but I believe the quality of work is more important than the volume of work. So rest is more important than action, especially if it can help you operate at a higher level for longer. I can’t wait to see whose still out there when we start seeing freezing temperatures 😂. That NYC cold will test how strong that love of freedom and hatred for the subway really is 😂😂

As always, I appreciate your support Domingo! Sometimes a good staycation where you can take care of things around the house, organize things that have been put off, and spend time with our loved ones is one of the best things we can do. Make the rides as long or short as you require, as long as you keep sharing them with us. My newest scooter will not go quite as fast as yours but I am learning much traffic etiquette from you, thank you.
@eyebahnrides6 ай бұрын
thanks for watching one of the OG videos on the channel, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate the feedback, length of the videos are something that I've really been playing around with over the last year and half I've had the channel and I noticed that everyone tends to enjoy the longer videos more! However, I won't lengthen or shorten a video just for the sake of it like I used to. We now go as required! Congrats on the newest scooter! Regardless of performance, enjoy the heck out of riding it. It's one of the most fun things we have access too and makes navigating the roads much more enjoyable than driving. Also, I'm glad that I could help with traffic etiquette. I know NYC isn't the most consistent place for that type of stuff but I hope that it still showcases the idea of getting to where you need to get to as quickly as possible without being a menace to society lol.

I’m so glad I have some heated clothes ready for this upcoming winter riding season. The only unfortunate byproduct of riding in the cold is you get me yelling “fckkkkk it’s soooo colddddd… why’d I do this” in to my mic for for 20-30 minutes 🥶🥶🥶

Thanks for watching the video Boozy! On the Burn E I did a 55 mile loop around NYC once. I started in Astoria, went down to Belt Parkway bike path, rode to Gil Hodges Bridge, went across Far Rockaway, then to Cunningham park, and then headed back to Astoria. Granted I was only 180 lbs at the time and you cant blast through NYC, unless you want to die lol. I also have a video on here where I did a group ride on Staten Island that was fast as hell through crazy hills. I think that was almost a 30 mile ride and I came home with half battery.
