My buddy in High school had a 340 / Purpel cam was Winchester Grey. Then pearl White. Traded it in at a Dealership in San Diego CA FOR A 6 cyl Cargo van 😂😮

I have you beat. My brother in the late 70's was in the Marines in San Diego (El Toro air base). He traded his Chicago 1966 Caprice to a buddy for a 70 SS Chevelle 454 460hp m20 4sd. In 1979ish out of the Marines and back home in Chicagoland he sold it to a coworker at his part time job at a gas station. FOR $2000. He bought a 4dr Ford Escort because the new wife could not drive a stick. The kid spun a bearing a week or so later on the SS. The kid started to restore the car after that. Fast forward 30 or so years and my brother got in contact with the now old man thru Facebook. He found two build sheets and a handwritten note saying to delete the white stripes and paint a color that was not even a 1970 color for a Chevelle. The guy finished the car and sold it to a private collector for north of 225,000 bucks. The car is in the Portland area.
