Tell me, couldn't you also spot what kws bring up the Google video carousel with a regular keyword search in Ahrefs, click view all and the select the video SERP feature? That said, I have noticed kws show up in that report and upon googling, don't actually see any. How often do SERPs change to include or remove video features?

Hey! Although I found your video very helpful, I am still unclear as to whether or not there's a such thing as having "too many tags", and if having one or two tags that have commonly searched keywords (but are only somewhat relevant to your video) hurts your ability to be ranked in search results. Would you be able to clarify this for me? I'd really appreciate it!

We don't pay too much attention to tags. The general purpose we use it for is to bring contextual relevance to the video. For example, if you were to create a video on "The Best Hammers," you might have tags like best hammers, hammer, hammers, which hammer to buy, tools. But I wouldn't add in other tools like screwdrivers and wrenches as they're a bit too far off. Basically, you don't want to trick or deceive people into thinking the video is about something that it's not. I wouldn't overthink it and focus more of your attention on engaging your viewers and building an audience. -Sam

But I couldn't find your video in 1st 15 results, I again searched for the same term and your video was at 7th spot. Then I searched same keyword on laptop and your video was at 25th spot. I have checked another videos meta data and other stuff but everything at your side is just ok. But how is this happening, why youtube is not ranking your video even in first 10 results. I do not have an answer to this question, but I would go for a separate channel with different language, to make sure each channels' subscribers feel comfortable watching my videos and do not skip videos due to language barrier. @@AhrefsCom Recently I've changed my channel name from Gordon & M To just straight up G&M Channel and It fixed the problem, So what I did is actually pretty Simple, I try to search for channel names that I am planning to use, If the channel which have similar names and had less then 100k subs I am good and my exact channel name will appear in the 1st page, My previous Channel name which is Gordon & M will only shows Gordon Ramsay's video and channel.

Within our toolset, 3 tools: 1) Keywords Explorer for keyword research. I personally find volumes more realistic (at least for keywords in our niche). 2) Content Explorer - find topics that are ranking in Google search. 3) Site Explorer - See who's embedded videos on their sites + check the "steadiness" of traffic to a video from Google. -Sam

Not 100% sure what you mean here. Keywords can't get traffic, so I assume you're talking about videos or are you talking about search volume? It's worth targeting keywords that have search demand as SEO traffic (whether that's from KZbin or Google) sends consistent traffic overtime. It's (in my opinion), the best place for small-ish creators to start. -Sam

I think the category depends on the videos you're creating. Also, I haven't seen a huge difference when choosing between two similar categories. ex. if you create a video called "How to play the piano," then to me, it's more of a how-to. Whereas if you're doing a Super Mario Bros Piano Cover, then that would be more under "music." Just use your best judgement :) As for competition, it takes time to build your channel authority. Keep at it :)

It might be that search intent changed, or that KZbin thinks other videos should rank over yours. You might want to look into why other videos are ranking above you so you can improve (in the case of video, remake) your existing video. - SQ

Thanks for fantastic content! I have a question regarding the single playlist that you created at the top of your home page, featuring the part 1 videos of your most important playlists. How did you do so that when these videos open, they lead to playlist where they happen to be the first video? I have tried to do that, but when I create single playlist, youtube offers to add videos there, and when a viewer clicks on them, youtube doesn't open up the playlist where these videos also belong to. Even though these videos belong to 2 playlists (this single one, and the original one, where I want them to be on the top?)

There is no way you can force next video to be the one from your playlist. If your playlist performed well, then next recommended video will appear from the playlist. There is no way you can influence that directly =( - Max
