அப்போஸ்தலாகிய பவுல் பிலிப்பியருக்கு எழுதின நிருபத்தில் முதல் அதிகாரத்தில் சொன்ன வசனங்களை (1:15-18) கூர்ந்து கவனிக்க வேண்டும். பிலிப்பியர் சபையில் பலர் தவறான நோக்கத்துடன் ஊழியம் செய்து வந்தனர். அவர்களுடைய வயிறு தேவன் (3:18,19) என்று பவுல் குறிப்பிடுகிறார். தங்களுக்கானவைகளையே தேடினர் (2:20,21) என்றும் குறிப்பிடுகிறார். ஆனாலும் எப்படி ஆயிலும் கிறிஸ்து அறிவிக்கப்படுகிறார் என்று சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன் என்று கூறுகிறார். பவுல் தவறான நோக்கத்துடன் ஊழியம் செய்தவர்களை உடனடியாக குறை சொல்லவில்லை குற்றம் சொல்லவில்லை. அவர்கள் மூலமாகவும் கிறிஸ்து அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு கொண்டு இருக்கிறார் என்று சந்தோஷப்பட்டார். தவறான நோக்கத்துடன் பல ஊழியங்கள் இருப்பது உண்மைதான். ஆனாலும் கிறிஸ்து அறிவிக்கப்படுவதால் அதை அப்படியே விட்டுவிடுவதுதான் நல்லது. விசுவாசி தவறு செய்தாலும் ஊழியக்காரன் தவறு செய்தாலும் எல்லாம் கர்த்தருடைய ஞாபகப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டு கொண்டு இருக்கிறது. சிலருக்கு மரணத்திற்கு முன்பாக மனம் திரும்புவதற்கு வாய்ப்புகளை ஆண்டவர் கொடுக்கலாம். சிலருக்கு அப்படிப்பட்ட வாய்ப்புகள் கிடைக்காமலேயே மரணத்தை சந்திக்கலாம். எப்படியாயினும் நியாய தீர்ப்பு நாளில் தேவன் ஒரு தீர்ப்பை வாசிப்பார். அந்தத் தீர்ப்பு வாசிக்கப்படும் நாள் வரைக்கும் காத்திருங்கள் என்று பவுல் கொரிந்தியருக்கு சொன்னார். ஏனென்றால் நீங்கள் குறை கூறுகிற ஊழியர் அந்த நாளில் இயேசுவின் கரத்திலிருந்து ஜீவ கிரீடத்தை பெற முடியும். குறை கூறுகிற உங்களை அக்கினி கடலில் தூக்கி எறியவும் இயேசுவுக்கு அதிகாரம் உண்டு. ஆனதால், கர்த்தர் வருமளவும் நீங்கள் காலத்துக்குமுன்னே யாதொன்றைக்குறித்தும் தீர்ப்புச்சொல்லாதிருங்கள், இருளில் மறைந்திருக்கிறவைகளை அவர் வெளியரங்கமாக்கி, இருதயங்களின் யோசனைகளையும் வெளிப்படுத்துவார்; அப்பொழுது அவனவனுக்குரிய புகழ்ச்சி தேவனால் உண்டாகும். OT and NT is pointing out Christ. Preaching from Old Testament should draw principles from New Testament. Even God spoke to Abraham about giving the promised land central theme is Christ. Genesis 12:3 which is fulfilled in Christ according to Galatians 3:7-9.
