Yeah man in my country in Sweden you can’t carry any weapon on streets at all so they found loophole that if you are under 15 and murder you will only get 3 years of “child rehab” (no prison time) so criminals just offer 12-14 year olds money to murder. The part about it being easier to get away with a gun crime than knife is absolutely bonkers. The gun leaves all sorts of DNA. You get gun powder blast all over you that easily gives you away. The gun itself is traceable whereas a knife isn't. They can track the bull and see if it came from the same gun. The act of shooting someone is easier than stabbing in terms of being less bloody and being more detached from the act, but the gun is also really loud and alerts EVERYONE nearby. Whereas you can quietly stab someone and run off. Also, you can clean the knife from DNA evidence.

The law in the UK regarding knives is actually very good, it's illegal to carry a knife out in public without a good reason. If you're found with one but have a good reason, it's likely it will be confiscated until the police verify your reason. For example, you are a private chef and take your own knife set to your clients houses, or you are going camping and have a pen knife - Fine. But if you are out shopping on the high street with a bowie knife in your pocket, your going to jail. The problem is guys, and I hate to have to be the one to break this too you, but criminals don't care much for the law

The only real solution is to give a life sentence to anyone caught carrying a knife in public. If you have extreme punishment, the crime takes care of itself. Okay, let me get this straight, when you think of a knife, you normally think of a cooking tool, when you think of a gun, you think of something meant to kill or harm somebody or something, that’s not even the start of the argument when the worst argument is “how do we defend ourselves without a gun” that’s the problem, if you made guns legal, you will mostly be against someone with a gun, you have a very high chance of dying especially if it’s a group of people, your defending yourself with a killers weapon, the difference in the Uk is they actually ban any kind of knife that is not used for commercial use, in America you can’t ban 1 type of gun from being owned when you can kill someone with any of them, my house is full of bread and cerated blades, non of them could kill anyone easily, and if someone pulls up to your house with a knife, they ain’t getting in, unlike someone with a gun

London has a huge population. More than any city in the US so the stabbing per capita is actually very low. It’s just a big problem because even tho it’s a small percentage it still affects a large number of people. Both Canada and the US have higher knife crime per capita 🤣
