I’ve always seen comments like “You guys ruined Smosh” or “Where’s Anthony?” I actually think you guys improved Smosh. Yes, the days of Ian and Anthony were fun but you all add an element that adds to Smosh that Ian and Anthony couldn’t do on their own. Shane is really loud and chaotic. Noah is knowledgeable but quirky. Courtney adds the perfect mix of beauty and a total dork. Olivia is just bizarre😂 Keith is just Keith😂😂 Damien has the chemistry with Shayne and is just plain hilarious. You see what I mean? They add a whole other level of humor that Smosh didn’t have before. The Ian & Anthony days were funny but there were more videos back then that were more dumb than funny (No offense). I always find myself laughing with these guys joining Ian. It’s still dumb at times but even when it’s dumb, I’m still laughing. Smosh has evolved and for the better. Keep it up!

KZbin has changed and so has Smosh. People who watched Smosh back when Ian and Anthony were Smosh I feel like tend to like more of the old content. Younger people who didn't grow up watching only Ian and Anthony aren't as attached to them as a duo.

Main Smosh squad is officially Ian, Shayne, Courtney, and Damien, everyone else is considered extended cast. That being said the distinction doesn't matter all that much, it's just they get regular paychecks while the others get paid on a for hire basis. Remember they are part of a much smaller company run by much more competent people. Mythical doesn't have the deep pockets Defy did but that's probably better as Defy was incredibly irresponsible and wasteful.

It's because people have different opinions on what kind of media they like. For example I stopped watching the main Smosh channel because it became too corporate feeling for me, I originally got into Smosh because it legitimately felt like two guys just having fun together. But I still watch Smosh Pit and Smosh Ga?es because I like their personalities.

In many ways Smosh reminds me of Saturday Night Live. The program evolves over time as the format it’s adopted changes. The cast and content changes a lot as well. However, I don’t think you can blame any cast or crew when it comes to the channel slumping sometimes. It’s a constant evolving thing and for a channel this old, I’m impressed it’s still going when so many other channels are gone. Things just need to work out and I think all of Smosh are doing a damn good job at carrying the legacy on.
