I am from Estonia and i personally LOVE him. His concerts are amazing, have been to two of them and on 22nd of April he is performing in Tallinn and i will be there 100% :) I love his originality and how comfortable he is with his own style and all this just pulls you in to listen to more. While listening to Tommys music you feel like you are in some ohter universe.

I am from Estonia and personally I really like Tommy's work. It may be weird and strange to Americans or other cultures but his lyrics speak to us Estonians and describe our life in some way. Also the music videos are not only for views, his style is just like that. He's almost out of this world and dares to do something different. it's interesting having studied quite a bit of Estonian culture and seeing this. Estonia is perhaps the most musical based countries. Meaning that pretty much everyone there is musical in some way. So this video is kind of both the most and least "Estonian" thing I've seen. Not being Estonian myself, but knowing Estonians and being familiar with them, they're probably celebrating that someone who's an Estonian artist is getting recognized.

As an ESTONIAN myself, I'm really proud of my Estonian brother for showing the world our amazing little land and what it has been through: the video"Surf" is about soviet union and "Leave me alone" is post-soviet Estonian society, about living in a countryside (some of which still look like this even nowadays). I might be wrong but as an Estonian I really doubt that he did those videos just for becoming viral. Compared to US for example Estonia has been quite conservative with these kind of things, you don't really grow up (especially in 90s) thinking that I want to become a KZbin sensation and go viral. You would think that you have to be hard working and do your own thing to become successful. I definitely think that he is very authentic and brave to be true to his artistic vision.
