He liked the rising hiphop music and culture in America so much but his parents wouldn't let him do music like that. Hiphop had bad reputation.He struggled allot because of that. In the end he rebelled against his parents and joined Seo Taiji. Their music was looked down upon. No broadestting stations wouldn't accept their music ( hence why YG doesn't like to kiss ass with them now😉). Then they had a breaktrough. They become popular with hiphop. In Korea there were 1 or 2 rappers who did hiphop but YG's group were the first idol group to do so. After them kpop became more than 1,-2 people.
