Thats awesome to hear! I mean, a full framed sensor is always going to be better, but for the money, you're better to have a variety... I think a lightweight camera with some good interchangeable lenses, a gopro, a insta360 and a drone is much better than having just one $3,000-$4,000 camera! We use our action cameras the most, and whenever we're out with no camera and do something cool, the new phoens these days are incredible! The only thing we struggle with is at night in low light conditions.

Have Mavic Pro 3, I like it...like you said in windy areas it will struggle, but, all in all it is a nice piece of kit, I still pucker my bunghole every time I fly it over water...I am thinking of getting the optional folding landing gear, and maybe 3D printing some lightweight floats, heck even ping pong balls would work......it's not like it is a racing drone....thanks for the info on the GoPro and the mics, that was very helpful. You all have fun, stay safe, and give Jackson a boop on the nose from me. P.S. how was the weather, I know you guys were in the area for all the storms. My boat survived Hurricane Kay in San Diego, lots of rain and wind, bobbed a bit in the marina. Dog was not happy....

Glad you’re safe!!! We have been so lucky with the weather so far. Things seem to be picking up this month though 🤞. Yes I’m always clenching when flying over water, it’s the birds I worry about swooping on it lol. The GoPros are great, but it just freezes and overheats too often which is so frustrating, but easy to work around and we are in a hot tropical climate so maybe as we head north it will be better!

Awesome, glad this video helped! We use Final Cut Pro, but to be honest, most the time we edit on iMovie still. It's just so much easier and more simple. I think using a basic editor program helps keep the real authentic vlog style to our videos which we want to keep!

We film in 1080p... It just takes so long to upload and edit in 4k while out sailing around and trying to upload to KZbin. I think as time goes on we will soon switch to 4k

The GoPro and insta360 are both great underwater! That’s all we use in our videos. If going deeper than 20m then we would start looking into something else. That’s a whole different ball game! Lol

Actually, we find ourself only using the insta360 lately with either the 360 labs or the 1” sensor lens. The 1” sensor lens on the insta360 is better for low light conditions.
