This is my video walk-through of the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base, Dover, Delaware, on December 29, 2018.
I also include some video of Washington DC as I drove past, and two crossings of the Chesapeake Bay on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, and a crossing of the Potomac River on the Governor Harry Nice Bridge (Hwy 301).
I close with a bonus video, a flight on a United Express EMB-145 regional jet from Richmond, Virginia to Chicago's O'Hare airport on December 31, 2018.

I was stationed at Dover until 1985 and the museum wasn't there when I left. I miss that place

I visited the museum once, prior-to 2013. I do not know if it is done regularly, but they opened the Douglas C-133 Cargomaster and I got to go inside. I have worked on Lockheed C-130 Hercules in both the USN and USCG, and I was _rather amazed_ at how much *LARGER* a C-133 is in comparison. Prior to my museum visit I had only seen C-133s in photographs.

As a Delaware born and raised person, we could not afford Blinker Fluid. You just have to "Assume" everyone is going to turn in a direction you are not going. Now, living in Florida, I get to experience round-a-bouts!!! As for Paratroopers, yes we did jump out of these from Pope Air Force Base at Ft. Bragg.

On the 141 frequently a “comfort pallet” was added when carrying large numbers of passengers. Usually placed in the first position aft of the flight deck it had two lavatories and a galley.

The KC-135E was an A model modified with the engines removed from the 707’s you saw at the Boneyard. They were exclusively used by the Guard and the Reserve.

Not only do Las Vegas drivers (away from the strip) not give turn signals, but many also seem to be color blind to red signal lights.

Have seen those rotating laser missile jammers on C-17 and C-130s. Not everyone likes to talk about them but you can run into one of 3 systems on the C-17s according to one that would comment on it .

I enjoyed that. I bought myself 2 things for Christmas. One is a cell Phone with WiFi and a Go-Pro Sports Camera with WiFi. That way I can put the Camera recording into the phone and us the phone for my sound system to knock out the wind blowing in the mic. It was just last week I saw the best camera set-up. It's the Go Pro 7 in a hand held Stabilizer. Smooth Video's.

My Amtrak Odyssey is coming up in two weeks, From Portland OR, to St Paul. Just bought the Go-Pro 7. I cannot wait to use it on my trip. Downfall is that I have to buy the window mount for it. Last Amtrak Videos I did were done on my I phone this will be a big improvement.

@@amtraktraveler9118 They sell Bundle packs of Go-pro attachments on eBay. I've never used the phone with the Go-pro before but I'm thinking about using more than one camera then change cameras with just the touch of the screen as I drive.

No train trips planned at the moment....am planning a vacation to England soon, don't know if there will be any videos coming out of that....maybe. I would like to take another eastern train trip in the Summer or Fall. I think most of my new videos, for a while, will be of a technical, not travel, nature. I have a lot of stuff along the lines of vintage computers and built-it projects waiting in the wings.

Did you notice the owl in the front of the landing gear bay at 59:01 - it's lined up with the tips of your fingers. I wonder if it's there to keep other birds from nesting in the gear bay.

If you've ever ridden in a C-141 you've never asked for peanuts and popcorn. The best cots weren't. Best is a pallet stacked tall enough to be in the heat sweet spot and when you lay down on it to sleep you don't at the same time freeze your balls off or suffer depoxigen hypo whatcha sayin to me flight doctor?

Was this another Amtrak Adventure? I almost do the same thing at the same time every year. With the exception that I do mine in January hopefully the Empire Builder won't have filthy windows and frozen toilets on my odyssey. That will be the 2nd time on the Empire Builder except I am going East instead of West.

This was not part of a train 'adventure'. I had a few vacation days left that I needed to use by the end of the year, or lose them, and I decided to fly out and visit some friends for a few days. The day trip to Dover was my friends' day off from visiting. There was not enough time to take a train on this trip.

shirrie jackson, either you are VERY confused or are just a poor writer. It is lard to figure out what you are writing here, or what you meant. But it sure seems like you meant to write that the SR-71 was designed in a garage in Hamilton, Canada. Which is absolute nonsense and categorically false. Also, you r comment is on my video of the Air Mobility Command museum, which does not even have an SR-71. So why are you commenting so inappropriately?

Why, when you go to any air museum are there always little screamers screaming and parents think it is great and don't even try to make the be quiet? There should always be at least one adult day a week that you have to be at least forty years or older.

@@barryyoungston5254 , I don't think we are on the same wavelength. I agree that I don't care for noise from young kids at museums, but they are public places and they are not going to prohibit kids to make others a little bit happier. And they are not going to establish 'adults only days' either.

The poor little things have probably been cooped up in a car for several hours. Let them enjoy themselves for a few minutes. I'd rather hear them, than barking dogs that everyone seems to have with them when they go out, with owners that can't control them either.
