One is 2.5D drawn intro cutscene and one is fully 3D realtime cutscene, this comparison is very bad. Sparking Zero has some really good animations, but also those where they clearly cut corners. And a lot of it's animations are just really bland - no momentum, no impact, no camera work. Yes, it has what? Over 100 characters? But I honestly prefer when the roster is smaller (did we really need so many gokus? You can make an entire new fighting game out of them) and every character shows clear care put into them, rather than a lot of characters that look alright to mediocre.

I think both of these games have beautiful transformations. But the truth is that DBFZ has more detailed transformations than Sparking Zero. Just look at 3:33 when Goku Black lands in his tornado on the ground, we see his red eyes that shine through the tornado, only then does he reveal himself in full. In Sparking Zero 3:46 Goku Black doesn't have any special entrance. 3:56 In DBFZ the Zamasu and Goku Black fusion is more detailed, we can see Zamasu and Goku Black smiling at each other while fusion. In addition we have the full text of the Merged Zamasu. 4:18 DBSZ is super ultra fast Goku Black and Zamasu fusion, where are they in such a hurry? 4:58 In DBFZ We can see a great animation when Kale and Caulifla merge, after they merge they still do their welcome Combo. 5:14 DBSZ Caulifla throws Potara earrings at Kale and they merge. No heroic welcome for the new character. 8:23 In DBFZ Goku SSJ4 and Vegeta SSJ4 merge. We can see their faces up close as they say, "Fu...sion!" Then they do a foot dance, and we see their index fingers connecting. Then we have a great animation of Gogeta SSJ4 being born. Plus Gogeta still has time to introduce himself after all that. 8:43 DBSZ Goku SSJ4 and Vegeta SSJ4 do a quick Fusion dance, and Gogeta SSJ4 is born. The end. Sparking Zero Is my Favorite Db game and FighterZ is my second Both are great but i have one small issue with sparking You know how every transformation has like a different pose Ssg Goku And Vegeta Have different poses But some characters like future gohan who has a regular transformation pose don't get their pose from the special which isn't that big of a deal but i think it would be cool The game is filled with so many poses and that's amazing but i wish if i selected gogeta super at the intro they start by fusing like fighterZ This may sound long and boring but it's just an option you can turn it on and off and i think it will be cool

Thats the idea, anime is in 24 fps, its not smooth at all and the animation always has errors on the drawings, fighterz tries to emulate all that with his artstyle to look as close as the source material, you cant do that with 3d models because, they are 3d models, those work at 60 fps and look smooth, thats why 3d models in anime always look so out of place, arcsys manually adds all those details to their models, its really cool. Anyway, all that yapping was just info dump, not trying to change your opinion, sparking looks amazing for an arena fighter, probably the best one with bleach rebirth of souls following close (and kill la kill -if- too, its amazing)
