I don't think he would've been deducted that many points especially based on the nature of the switches. I tried to find the score sheet but couldn't, so it's hard to say. Although it still speaks to how well he did that he got 1st even with the issues he had during his performance. On the other hand, this wouldn't have sold me on a getting a Positron. Lol

Solatic Syot Baping is when you take two halves of different yoyos and use them together. The original Bapezilla was just two different solid colors, but Baping now refers to combining any two halves.

Gentry is awesome. Jensen is awesome. Sebastian is awesome. They all had great freestyles this year, but I'm not to unhappy that none of them won. I mean, the best part of all these freestyles is just how freakin cool they are. WINNING isn't really what it's all about for me. But, actually, I do think it's cool that someone can leap out of nowhere and win at Worlds. Congrats Marcus, and congrats to all those other awesome players for throwing down some awesome freestyles this year =)

@CatCat1996 well if you don't like his tricks you can just stfu instead of blabbering nonsense here. Stop trying to make people think the way you think, different people have different perspectives. Get that in your head. You've been commenting non-stop on this video ever since it was posted. Marcus won fair and square, he innovated the crazy behind-the-back tricks, that's why he got such a high score. Jensen wasn't there to win either, it's rather obvious from his freestyle.
@coolerthenu458
@coolerthenu458 13 жыл бұрын
@CatCat1996 Eli hops get very few points, and they're terrible to do since it's a trick to do in repetition. The reason they get so many points off of them is because they do them in such difficult and different ways that it comes off as original and new - which it is. None of the past three winners have the same style, and the only two that are even relatively the same are Shinya and Marcus. Shinya won because of an impressive array of horizontal tricks, once again, extremely difficult to do.

@Yoyopro3 hey i don't care what you think, you're entitled to your opinion, but your not entitled to insult other people because your butthurt that people like Jensen. Jensen is the best competitive yoyoer in the world and could've taken first but thats not what he was trying to do. So before you go bashing Jensen and other people learn to respect other peoples opinions
@Igknighton
@Igknighton 13 жыл бұрын
I remember last year when some people were mad that jensen won, everybody said that he was a point whore and that yuuki should've won. Now everybody is saying the same thing about marcus now. Just because the your favorite player didn't win doesn't mean the judging system is screwed.
@MrWonderninja
@MrWonderninja 13 жыл бұрын
@15sarahcg I did not say its wasn't amazing, I don't deny that he's a great player and that he did well, but it is MY OPINION (which I'm entitled to) that he should not have won. And Jensen Kimmitt is the biggest influence in my style and had the best act by far.
@coolerthenu458
@coolerthenu458 13 жыл бұрын
@Nasharah97 wow 15? I didn't think it would be that much. I thought restarts and dead yoyos only took like 2-3 points off? Then again, I suppose you could argue that in the time it took him to restart, he could've been doing other tricks.

Worlds would've been different if we sent Christopher and Darrel as well, Singapore would've clean sweeped 1A top 3. I like Marcus's style and hate Gentry's, well then again, like you and me, haters gonna hate. Nuff said.

@CatCat1996 They all know how the judging system works, and they are are all capable of changing their tricks to fit it. You're not a judge, so chances are you don't know what you're talking about.

@DomoYoz
@DomoYoz 13 жыл бұрын
The haters dont even know how to judge. They are judged upon points. Not how clean the freestyle was. Marcus might have changed his yoyos twice and restarted his yoyos once. But he still got first. Why? because he scored more than the others. He did tricks which were much more difficult than the others. Just because Jensen is your favourite player does'nt mean that you must hate Marcus' freestyle.
@dibbadai666
@dibbadai666 13 жыл бұрын
I see many people insisting that Sebastian Brock should've won due to "messing up less". Now honestly see his freestyle again - it's not really like there aren't any mess ups,is it? Sure Marcus had to change yoyos due to knots, but his freestyle was way more risky than Sebby's.To me contests are all about pushing the limits of yoyoing,not about delivering a performance with as little mistakes as possible. Certainly Marcus lost points because he had to switch yoyos, but he won regardless of that.
@GhostWireThrows99
@GhostWireThrows99 13 жыл бұрын
So...Marcus may be better than me, but with all honesty, he isnt really all that great. Never has a worlds champion scored lower than 90 points. The REAL winner should have been jensen, you guys dont understand the complexity of his throw, he didnt do it to win either, like he had the flu. That AND if you noticed, he only uses one throw. Don't believe me? Go look. Props Jensen.
@kuyaChrischan
@kuyaChrischan 13 жыл бұрын
@Soakedboy That's what really happened. A player gets 5 'points' penalized from them for switching yoyos due to knots. It's a big debate in our little community how he won even with all those obvious messups. But with that in mind, if he won with tons of messups, what would've happened if it was flawless?
@pizzaboy6877
@pizzaboy6877 13 жыл бұрын
@h3llboy6661 the reason you said are wrong , he got 1st because he did behind the back and his combo are risk, those earned alot ( about 30pts) but he lost 9pts because he has to handed star and changed yoyo 2 times, i'm not a Marcus big fan but i think he deserved 1st, so all the haters we play yoyo 4 fun and think it's a part off our child memories, ok?

@YoHunter15Extras It's ironic cause in his other FS's, he pretty much flawless but he doesn't win them. He gets like second place. This is one of the contests that Marcus Koh finally wins but makes the most mistakes out of any of his other performances that I've seen.
@Eorzat
@Eorzat 13 жыл бұрын
@purpleownz176 He had to change the yoyo twice as well as had to start it up once, andI don't know if it would count stopping at the end. There was more than 1 mistake; there were 3 pretty big mistakes, but it shows that his preformance was so good that he got 1st despite the mistakes.
