Would this work using home made marshmallows rather than store brought ones, making the marshmallow and adding the rise krispies to the homemade mixture before it sets?
@kaseydrymalla11 жыл бұрын
Made these yesterday (without the jello powder) and they turned out FABULOUS! Will be making these for my son's class! Thanks for sharing your recipes! Love them! :D
@yoyomax1212 жыл бұрын
I don't know if the bars would set properly with the fluff, it is the gelatin in the marshmallows that hardens and keeps things stuck together. It would taste great, but it just might be soft.
@yoyomax1212 жыл бұрын
Everything in this recipe is okay to consume alone or in combination.

Just finished making these. I added a pink layer after the purple one to use up the odd number of mashmallows left after I had done all the other layers. It's setting up now and I hope it turns out well :) Yours look amazing!

I made these but instead of using jello for flavor and color, I used a tiny bit of Kool-Aid, they turned out really good and stayed soft. Next I'm going to make your rainbow sponge cake. I love rainbowy things, I've even made rainbow pasta. Thank you for all the great recipes! :)

did you think of trying the fruity pebbles and separated them by color instead of using food coloring

Sorting out the colors would be pretty tedious. She has a job and a family to tend to so I'm guessing she didn't want to spend all that time.

Since you're using the gelatine powder is that okay to consume since you would normally mix it with water and such? Sorry, kind of a stupid question.

I made some Rice Krispies treats today for Valentine's Day but I didn't have the jello. I made three layers: A red, red-pink, and pink layer inside a loaf pan. I was planning on cutting them out into heart shapes but they didn't tastes right. I think I used too much food coloring. I used the concentrated gel colors. They had a very strong metallic or chemical taste to them. Next time, I won't use so much food coloring and I'm gonna have to try a adding the jello powder. :)
