That must have been one of the last British Airways flights at 28:21, to come across the Atlantic. British Airways pilots went on strike today. Anyone notice the AN-124 parked out in the center at 50:31 while the American Eagle is landing?

Garage 2 is good for arrivals/departures on 1C/19C, Garage 1 is good for departures/arrivals on 19L/1R.

I personally like garage 2 better, even though there's constantly United Airlines, but that's the usual for Dulles.

Totally agree. I have spent upwards of 8 hours planespotting up there because you really get a great vantage point of most of them. Yeah you don't see most of the international arrivals, but you still get great action and it is awesome to see them departing off of 1R or 19L and seeing the action off of 30. If they are using 1C for departures, all the better, though usually I find Ethiopian/ANA/Korean use that runway.

@@MatthewSmith-cv7op Yea you have to go there in the morning, or evening to catch heavy action, and you can still catch international flights on 1C and 1L, you just have to go at the right time. I suggest that you check Flightaware and Flightradar24 for when the heavies are coming.

Thank you very much! It really depend on the time of the day but I'd say that PM/Evening is usually a good moment to see widebodies :-) Sometimes they use one runway more than the others as well btw.

First and foremost, amazing footage! I went for the first time today and couldn't find a location to see the runway, except the observation tower at the museum, which was about a mile away from 19L and 19C which were in operation. Even with my 600mm it was tough to photograph. If you don't mind me asking, where is this location? Thanks.

Not really... its good for 1C/19C and 1L/19R. The best place to see 1R arrivals is from the museum (Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center) but you need to pay 10$ to get in I think.
