Synopsis:
Kanu (Rishi Kapoor) and Timsi (Neetu Singh) are two young people barely out of college who decide to set up home and get married much against the wishes of their parents who are only too familiar with the fate of young marriages.
Kanu decides to come out of the shadow of his illustrious father and set up an advertising agency. All is going well at home and at work for the newly weds until Kanu decides to hire the services of an ace designer Nisha (Rakhee).
Nisha is the mysterious older woman with a past and Kanu is a constant reminder of her lost love.
Kanu, Timsi and Nisha find themselves entangled in an emotional saga, the struggle of Nishas past. Kanu and Timsis present and now an uncertain future.

Rajesh Roshan remembering this song said that he had given tapes of raw song to Lata ji and Kishore da to practice. Rafi Sahab did not take the tape, he only listened Rajesh, s requirement. After ten days, the song was recorded. Rafi Sahab came from another recording and sang perfectly without any rehearsal or break. That was Rafi, s magic.

Yes.. try to recollect Shashi Kappor's original voice while he is delivering a normal dialog in any film.. then you will understand why Rafi Sahab was amazing in this song's only 32 seconds part... This why Lata Didi, Kishore Da, & Rafi Sahab are (yes are... & not were .. they will never be a past for me).. legends.. they are not singing as LATA.. KISHORE or RAFI, but as an onscreen character... Two examples... [Dilip Kumar + Rafi... Amitabh + Kishore].. try to remember any song of those combinations.. its always Dilip Kumar Sir or Amitabh Ji... singing... not Rafi Sahab or Kishore Da..
