סרטו של קמיל סווג'ו "ירושלים" (25 דק' במקור), הוא אחד מארבעה סרטים שהוא צילם בארץ ישראל במרץ-אפריל 1925. הסרט מציג את הספסלים שהיו בכותל למתפללים קשישים, ואת התפילה המשותפת של גברים ונשים ליד הכותל. הסרטים הנוספים הם: טבריה ובית לחם, וכן סרט ארוך ובו תיעוד מלא של ביקור הלורד בלפור בארץ ישראל ממקווה ישראל ועד ראש פינה. שיא הביקור היה פתיחת האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים - ודווקא קטע זה כנראה נעלם. הסרטים המקוריים נמצאים בבולון, במוזיאון אלברט קהאן וניתן לראותם שם. (לפתיחת האוניברסיטה העברית יש שני תחליפים, אבל איכות הצילום של סווג'ו מדהימה ויש לקוות שסרט זה ימצא.

Вчера ходила там у Дамасских ворот и у Новых , возле Храма Гроба , в Александровском ПОДВОРЬЕ. СТАРЫЙ город сохраняет свой древний вид , улочки , запутанные как лабиринты бесконечные и ведущие к Храму Гроба Господня , очень много туристов с разных стран .Миру тебе , СВЯТОЙ город на все века !🙏🙏🙏

Amin al-Husayni was already the mufti of Jerusalem, the representant of the arabs in the mandate of palestine, he called for the mass killing of jews, and only 4 years after that footage, they did the massacre of hebron were arabs tortured and killed 135 jews, including kids. And later, that mufti allied with hitler, hoping for him to exterminate jews in the british mandate of palestine after the nazis win the war in europe.
