Ys (FAMICOM) - All Bosses

The NES version of the very first Ys is actually quite interesting and great to play. I would even say it is better than the SMS version, too bad it never came out here. Of course it's a grindy game, but once you get strong enough, it becomes quite a breeze. The bosses themselves aren't that bad, except for the Mantis boss who's terrible and can drain your energy in an instant. Same for the fires while fighting Dark Fact. Ah, Ys; this series has had quite the history, and I’ve heard a bit about it. This one apparently had a weird mechanic where instead of having an attack button, you had to bump into enemies in a specific way to hit them, otherwise you’d take damage; small wonder they never used that gimmick again and just had an attack button like a normal game. And it looks like some of these bosses, especially the first two, were not designed to be attacked as fast as you did there, given how quickly they died.

This game is really about grinding as fast as possible to make your journey less painful so I might have been a level over the first boss, but the second one is really that easy. There's also a specific angle you need to be when fighting normal enemies that basically makes you invincible, otherwise you get hit everytime.
