I particularly love this version's rendition of Palace. Thinking over it, the added droplet noises could mean to imply there's a bit more to the place than meets the eye. With Adol's Theme being an unused track from the original, I'm surprised it saw the light of day again in this version; Dreaming, another unused track from PC-88 Ys 1, gets renditions in pretty much any other versions than this one, despite only being used recently in Chronicles.

I personally think it was more a "collaboration" between 2 masters of their craft. Yuzo did his best at the time (Along Mieko Ishikawa) to give Ys it's unique and charming sound and personality, they helped create the world of Ys along the gameplay and visuals and Yonemitsu added more layers to that already awesome music while not being limited by the hardware of those PCs and make them shine even more. You still see people loving the original versions of the music despite there's tons of arrangements in many albums and such and that talks about the quality of the original compositions just like this arrangement as well :)
