Out of all the versions of Wanderers from Ys (before Falcom's own 3D remake with Oath in Felghana), Taito's remake, to me, reigns supreme. It's the best version of this game. The original and its numerous ports are way too janky. Wanderers is also the black sheep of the series, since it's the only Ys game with 2D side-scrolling gameplay. But it's extremely short, and despite that, there's still grinding to be done! Ah! I like it anyway, for what it is, I think it's pretty fun. Except for the final boss... And hey, the music just keeps on banging! Ys III introduces some absolute classic tunes for the franchise, notably "The Boy Who Had Wings." Adol is even fully voiced in this version, so strange!
