YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of instilling a “fear psychosis” among those who did not support him in the recent elections. Reddy alleged that TDP supporters were targeting individuals who voted against them by destroying their assets, physically attacking them, and filing false cases.
Reddy, speaking outside Nellore Central Jail after meeting YSRCP leader P Ramakrishna Reddy, who is imprisoned for allegedly attacking a police inspector and vandalizing an EVM, criticized the TDP government for creating an environment of fear rather than addressing the needs of the people. He claimed that the previous YSRCP government did not discriminate against anyone and that the current administration’s tactics of intimidation would not be sustainable.
Reddy also accused Naidu of failing to deliver on his electoral promises and urged him to focus on fulfilling those commitments. He defended Ramakrishna Reddy’s actions, suggesting that the EVM destruction was a result of frustration over alleged polling irregularities.
