For those who think that's it weird this will be after Ys I and II with Adol going back to being younger: Reminder that the man has had… what, 100 Travelogues? Each one recording his adventures around the world? I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if some of these adventures took place in the same years, like how Ys VI and Ys VII take place in 23 AC, but the latter happens a few months after the former. I mean it is a bit disappointing that it won't canonically be after Ys IX, but I think it's all fine.

Doesn't matter if its souls like, I'll Flash Guard the shit out of the bosses and mobs in YS 10. Combat is hella addicting in this game. Hands down Best Action RPG. Looking forward to it 👍

I love the Ys series, especially the most recent ones. I am sceptical and don’t have a good feeling regarding a soulslike approach. We already have plenty of mediocre souls clones out there and none of them manages to scratch the same itch as Fromsoft games do. Also I expect entirely different things from Ys games and I don’t think it would suit the series well trying to ride a trend. Hopefully this dumb feeling will be washed away eventually when Ys X is released or when we get more insight into the actual game.

Soulslike means 1 on 1 combat being difficult. Lots of arpgs end up. being way too easy cause they go all dynasty warriors musuo
