I am a Sikh and have much respect for Sufism and this spiritual side of Islam. God is One ☝🏻
@sumairasadia96825 жыл бұрын
MR Marcus Sikhism is actually derived from Islam if you closely look at Sikhism. You will know Muslims use word" rub "it is a name of Allah used in Quran and (Sikh use this word rub), it means who give Rizq (food to eat). Hazrat Gurunank w Sarkar was a saint and every saint used to go to Baghdad to pay homage and respect to sheik Abdul Qadir Jillani( Head of saints ).every saint used to go to Makkah Hazrat Gurunank also visit Makkah. He introduced oneness of Allah in Hindu community where people worship thousands of idols made of wood, mud, and stone. He himself was born in a Hindu family but by birth, he was a friend of God called saint or wali Allah, and never worship any Hindu god or godesses. He was not a messenger like Muhammed(PBUH) or Jesus(PBUH). Messenger ship is now closed after final prophethood of Muhammed Sahib. Hazrat Gurunank Sarkar is a friend of God(Wali Allah) and belongs to Sufi order "Qaderia silsila" .His peer fellows were bughat kabir, Baba Fareed, Bulah shah. So you actually belong to Sufism. Brother read the difference between the Messenger of God and Friend of God.you will reach the reality of Allah.

I am a believing Christian. But in spirituality we all are brothers and sisters - we are one: world - love - God in eternity. And it is so wonderful that in sufism there is this connection of all religions.

Well stated. In lakota we say, ho mitakuye oayasin, we are all related. I believe that we are one heart, one tribe, one earth, one people, all connected, all intimately woven like a fine silk tapestry. The ruby red beating heart of God is within all of us. Weaving us together, merciful, loving, compassionate, unceasingly patient and enduring. But the greatest of these is love. A flower blooms in it's own timing, what a thing...this dance of life. What a remarkable journey this life, to know...to feel...to sense...to discover such love and know such depths of sorrow. What a remarkable journey - this life, this road to awe. Emanual - God is with us.

I've been in the same place a long time. Be well all. Things are precarious out there today

blad90 We usually say ( k.s.); kuddise sirruhu for poets and persons that are very known. Yunus wasn’t from Baktashi order, he clearly was Sunni and Hanafi and a follower of Ahmed Yesevi (He was Yasavi). Ahis are the followers of Ahi Evran. Ahi Evran was also a saint that didn’t like Rumi and Rumi didn’t like him but still he was a great person who had many advices to the people and mostly the merchants and salesman (Cuz he was a merchant and salesman). Also Ahis are the people who fought against Mongols in the Mongolian invasion in Anatolia.

blad90 Majnun (Mecnun) is a person from an old Arabic love story. Majnun actually means mad or crazy in Arabic. The story is about Kays and Laila who fell in love together and Lailas parents didn’t want her to get married with Kays. Kays went on the desert because of his love and sadness, he stayed in the desert for weeks and days and just wander around waiting for Laila. People called him Majnun (Mad, crazy) for his actions. One day he found the real love, the spiritual love to Allah. One day some persons saw Majnun and came to him. They asked “Who are you?” He answered “I’m Laila” They asked again “Where are you coming from?” He answered “I’m from Laila” They asked one last time “Where are you going?” He answered “I’m going to Laila.” Majnun new Laila was Allah, he forgot about his Laila in the world. One day Laila came to him and Majnun couldn’t recognise her, he said “Who are you? My Laila is inside of me.” Laila understood which degree he has came to, she understood that he found the spiritual love and leave him there alone going home happy but sad at the same time. Time passed and Laila died. Majnun who heard this suddenly remembered her. He ran to her but the dark soil had already got her inside. He hugged Lailas grave and prayed to God, he wished to be together with Laila and died there hugging Lailas grave.

marie ellis Hello, greetings. My advice to you is this: Please dont split Islam into Sunni,Sufi etc.. Islam is one and its not the right thing to split it into parts, according to the Quran. There should only be Muslims intead of sunnis or sufi. Have a blessed day, Assalamualaikum

OsmanlıHalifesi i only say sunni as reference to his comment so please excuse me Never does it cross my mind the difference between any. There are no different "sec" in Islam as there is in Christianity.

Hoy me da serenidad y me gusta aún mas. Hay más aceptación y paciencia. Veo mi viaje personal y estoy segura que viví en esta cultura. Un abrazo fraterno desde El Salvador.

This id So Beautiful, .alhamdililah. The more I look.into sufism the more I like it. To think on wholesome thoughts, pure thoughts is what god wants from us. Im christian and i find that it is al to easy to simply go through the motions of religion without connection to god. To me personally it is the connection to god i need and require. To be socin tune with god that i can hear him speak If I love god with all my being and truly love all mankind as myself then i am suceeding in life

I believe he now known as Yusef Islam (was Cat Stevens) follows a Sufi tradition. I can hear the influence Sufi music has had on Richard Thompson the wonderful songwriter and guitarist. Danny Thompson, bass player is also an follower of Sufism. I respect these musicians. These are men I have a lot of respect, even love for, their music has sustained me for decades. Both Thompsons are from a traditional English Christian background and I suspect they feel no contradiction now in the spiritual path they have followed. I too have come from that background and I admire the spiritual purity of Sufism which to me is close to the Quaker idealism, rejecting book-bound tradition in favour of a renewing and renewed spiritualism.

Beautiful! Listening to this while making dinner...I just watched a documentary about Sufism and it really resonated with me..the main message I got was that Sufism is about love and recognition of God in which ever form God is for the individual. Crossing religious borders. Going deeply into meditation and trance to connect with the Spirit...

I have only listened to Sufi/Muslim music on a couple occasions in the past, but for some reason, I was drawn to this last night and was totally enthralled. Come to find out this morning that at the same time I was listening to this, Muslims were being slaughtered by a madman in Christchurch, New Zealand. Kind of freaked me out. Peace and love to all people.
@joeykitty24835 жыл бұрын
Your a good soul. You felt these people in your heart, so you were drawn to the music. You have good senses. Me and my brother improvised a lot of interesting music on the same day that a madman drove a van through people here in Toronto and killed a bunch of people... :( There's definitely something spiritual that we feel. I felt like we were paying respect to the people who died by making our music, and we didn't know it yet... I think you were paying respect by listening to Muslim music and Sufi music. Your doing good. May love and peace come to the world and everyone. Let's all be a guiding light.

as a Christian, the Sufi sect of Islam is my favorite sect. they have their way of connecting with Allah, which seems very nice and peaceful, and don't go around messing with other people or use their faith to mask crazy political ideals. They actually face some of the same troubles that Christians in the Middle East face.
@MrSelimkaymak9 жыл бұрын
+animangafan342 Sufism is not a sect , for your information, there are some sects , warship with the accompany of music like Mevlevi,They performe lets say "Tasavvuf Music",you may call sufi music as well.Sufism is " Vahdet-i Vücut" filosophie explains that the journey to god in more open minded ıslam. There are number of sufi sects, or used to be before. They are mostly abolished in Turkey after republic, there are only some fake sects.
