Proton X50 Facelift 2024 Genting Drive | YS Khong Driving

The Proton X50 has now officially been facelifted, but actually there is no exterior change at all: the main difference is a new transmission which is the same unit as in the S70, except that the manual gear change is an forward/backward movement of the gear lever instead of the left/right motion for the S70.
Other than that, all variants get a higher resolution MID and infotainment display and a new 360 degree camera.
Overall, the X50 handles quite well, but do watch the video and see for yourself. Do share your comments.

Read somewhere they said the more accurate term is RC=Running Change (something new I learned also). They just want to clear all existing parts in stock before the actual facelift next year.

3 cylinder engine but you can barely hear it from the video but Hrv genting run video with the so called very refined 4 cylinder, all you can hear is the engine 😂

Hi Uncle, will you get to drive the 4-cyl X50? Outside of Malaysia, they sell a Geely Coolray/Binyue with a 1.5T 4-cyl, more torque but gearbox is full auto. Curious to see your thoughts, I have bought it for myself and wish I could select gears. Overall a great car! 🎉
