Mercedes A250 (2015) Modified Suspension: Is it Better than Golf GTi? | YS Khong Driving

We take a 5 year old Mercedes Benz A250 for a run. The original suspension was too harsh, and this one has been softened: Now it is more comfortable, but does it handle?

Finally someone is modifying their car for daily comfort. and not making it harsher louder haha i like it. hard suspensions are for perfect roads like track anyway. softer suspension works better on public roads.

Yeah, most of the aftermarket suspension went for the harder setup. Which is what common people want. Meanwhile, some enthusiast went for softer setup..including jeremy, lotus engineers, and here..i heard ivan also got softer setup for his S2000.

I can imagine how hard the original suspension is considering that there is so much vibration on the camera now with the aftermarket "softer" suspension! Gosh must be back breaking driving it along Ulu Yam

I own one and it’s actually really good it’s not intended to be driven like this touge run this guy is doing hahaha on everyday streets it’s such an amazing car I fell in love with it ❤

Should be no problem: however if buying a used car, do have it checked by a car expert before buying unless you know the car history well

Speak to the Koni seller - I am sure he can help you. The one from the A200 should fit, and it will be softer.

Hi, I own A180 sports model made in germany from 2015 and has stiff suspension setup. It does not soak even small bumps and makes thudding sound.I am thinking of replacing the springs with comfort suspensions springs. Does only replacing the springs make the suspension softer ?

Awesome uncle! Would the handling be only marginally better with stock suspension (assuming on the same route)? The ride seemed bumpy even with the “softer” version.

Well if gti better than a250.in your oppinion kan uncle,what about golf r and a45..since both price nearly the same.or gti stage 3 vs a45..knowdays hard to find who can give a test drive for these car so im confused which one gonna take..

The A45 suspension is something you should test before you buy. Nice on track but on road is very harsh.

Hi Ys uncle, how would you compared f30 2015 316i vs 318i or even 320i, is there really a big diff for 318i 3 cylinder and 316i 4 cylinder of in terms on reliability and maintenance? Budget 70k to

I think the power difference is not much. The 3 cyl engine is new tech, and they use this engine in a few of their models. Also it allows the use of common parts. Each cylinder is approx 500 cc. 3 cyl = 1.5 l, 4 cyl = 2.0, and 6 cyl is 3.0 and V8 is 4.0. same piston size, same bore, same bearing size, and Conrods. The newer engine should be an improvement. And parts will be easier

If budget is ok just get the 320i. Parts and etc are a lot in common with 328i/330i/330e. 316i/318i is class on its own.
