Such a great public service announcement! I still remember when I went on my first track day almost 2 decades ago I purchased instruction and the very first thing I was taught was how to sit properly. Thankfully back then I wasn’t a “boy racer” and had the position setup about 80% correct, but the final 20% was noticeable in terms of getting every sensation and feedback from the car and comfortably controlling the car near the limits. That instructions like that are worth their weight in gold I tell you!!

My understanding is that when you have both hands holding the steering at the 3/9 o'clock position, your arm should be approx 90 degrees (L shaped). This can be achieved with steering adjustments and or seat incline. This also ensures appropriate distance between chest and steering for airbag deployment.

Uncle YS, you didn't mention about height adjustment. I see some jokers always drive with the lowest seat possible because it looks cooler to them 😂

Uncle some car dont have adjustable steering .. im tall and the car is hatchback ... but will follow ur rule of thumb to not have any gap between ur lower back and the seat ...
@unknownuser67716 сағат бұрын
Yeah..actually same position if you siiting in the office, dining table..this is the basic for everyone...should upright the back posture.. When you lay down a bit in driving..thats why got space (can fit , 2 car) between your car and front car...and then keep complaint car cutting queue...😂😂
