This is my mother's perfume in the 1980's, and whenever I smell it, I remember her getting ready for the orchestra or a play. It reminds me of beautiful women, flowers, and glamour. This fragrance is heavy on the rose, but has a wonderful depth from the bergamot and sandalwood. Now that I am an adult, I have my own bottle so that I can feel like a glamorous 80's lady myself.

The note you smell that reminds you of your family is probably the combination of sandalwood and amber. I have sandalwood soap and know that smell pretty well. Most old perfumes use sandalwood with amber. It’s a classic “sexy” base.

Hi! There are two perfumes that I held a deep fondness for, but alas, they have been discontinued for sometime now: "Tendre Poison" by Christian Dior and "Sicily" by Dolce & Gabbana. Are you acquainted with any perfumes that might bear a resemblance to their delightful scents?

Ugh it’s so tragic when that happens!! I don’t know of any similar to those off the top of my head since I haven’t smelled them, but there are a couple of places that are making versions of discontinued scents! As a man who has bought a various amount of perfume for three sisters over the years😂, I went into a small fragrance store tonight. The bottle stood out to me and was an EDT version. I asked for a sample and I was instantly left in shambles. This has got to be one the best/sexiest smells I have ever tried. Definitely strong even for the edt version. But if my girl was wearing this on date night it’s definitely going down after 😂.

This is my absolute favourite scent. I am scent sensitive and this works for me so well!! I have been wearing this since my mid twenties. I have received so many compliments on this scent from men & women since I first started to wear it. My husband loves this scent on me as it is his favourite of the 4 scents that I can actually wear. This one Alyssa makes me feel very classy & beautiful.❤❤❤❤

I’m sensitive to perfumes as well. It’s so great when you have your few that you know won’t bother you! After having an allergy to Billie Eilish perfume, I will never try a “new” non-organic perfume without terror. Glad you have your 4 favorites! What are the others?

The fragrance sounds lovely and I think the eau de toilette would be good for me because I don't like fragrances that are too strong. The bottle is a unique design as well.

This is such a great review on a fragrance I just purchased last month ....it is so Devine ...I love anything where the violets come through and then the dry down to a hint of sandlewood is so delicious ...I love using it as a mist over my hair 💓

I do not like the scent of 99% of any perfumes. They are just to acidic smelling, overly flowery, or just fake smelling. 1990, College freshman year. I met my now wife of 31 years. During our first date she wore Paris. Paris, is absolutely the most wonderful scent I have ever smelled beyond anything in my life. Confectionary, flowers, old paper, anything. It exudes class, sexiness, and it draws you into its web of variance as it ages. It consumes your mind, olfactory senses like a starving child waiting to eat their parents favorite recipe they make for them, while they wait for it to finish cooking. Your nose takes it in, and your mind develops very specific images of it and how it correlates to the woman wearing it. As the wind or air movement comes and goes you catch and lose its powerful scent. Your nose and mind begin to yearn and crave for it to come back and simply stay. You can attempt to wrestle its grasp on you away, I assure you that you will lose. By the time the day or night is over you will follow any request given, or assume control of any situation which it may lead to with a passion beyond your wildest dreams. 31 years later and anytime she wears Paris, or I smell it out somewhere (very rarely) it still devours me like the first time I ever smelled it. Yes, the reformulation isn't as nearly as nice as the original. But if you purchase the most concentrated version, it is the same as the original. The less concentrated formulation dissipates far faster, and doesn't sustain its notes as well as it ages. I had her throw that bottle out and go buy the concentrated version. A night and day difference in my opinion. Do the person who you are trying to attract a favor, and sprint to get this. They will be yours immediately! Place a micro drop of spray at the base of your neck. Oh heaven, as you look into their eyes, take in their beauty. That extremely subtle scent hits you as you lean in for that kiss... The devil himself couldn't have come up with something anymore alluring, than this on a woman. Synopsis: Classy, sultry, captivating, and powerfully sexy placed in a dispensible bottle.

@@valenciapatman4492 I am not sure anymore. When she bought the garbage reformulation version I knew it was only a matter of time before they went completely down hill from there in it's quality. I went to our local cosmetics perfume store and bought 5 bottles of it. Since we don't go out as often as much, that will last us a lifetime.

@@kevinbond4627 I personally think fragrance doesn’t have to have gender. With that being said this is a very BIG FLOWERBOMB. Everyone’s skin chemistry is different so I’d be interested to know how it smells on a man! But I wouldn’t recommend blind buying it. Hope that helps!

@@NiTuairisc I've lived a long time and I'd say I know as much about fragrance as the next person, and I agree that this one's a vile stench. For me it's literally instant gag. My personal taste favors Orientals, but I wear a number of scents, including florals. Believe it or not, this one's polarizing.

Thanks for your input. It’s important for me to recognize that each person has their own preferences. I’ll consider that before I douse myself in such a strong perfume. I still love it, but that doesn’t mean everyone else has to choke on it. :-)
