My fav is Y live. It maintaints Y edp top notes throughout the life time of the fragrance. Good for summer.

Great, substantive discussion and opinions, Joy. I have the EdP and quite liked it but am beginning to find it a bit brutish: nuclear longevity and projection, but at the cost of some times seeming a bit too screechy. I've sampled the Le Parfum and found I prefer the complexity of the scent early on, but what has really sold me is the scent in extreme dry-down - somewhere between the EdP and L'Homme to my nose. On clothing it seems to go for days. I would really like to see a discussion of the most recent releases from YSL which seem to be making up for past failures, including in particular Y Le Parfum, L'Homme Le Parfum, and La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Electrique.

Y eau Fraiche is my favorite. Gets me the most compliments especially from my wife. EDP is next. I need to try LeParfum

Bleu de chanel edt works in summer. The edp and parfum isn't as fresh making it annoying in high heat

​@@ski123Doubt I could tolerate either at 30°C. I suppose they might work at altitude but even then you might be pushing it. I'd certainly go lightly. I'd sooner choose a "light blue" fragrance, e.g. Versace Homme, or better still, an actual freshie.

For summer, just skip the ysl y line and buy Zara vibrant leather summer. A stellar fragrance and value for money.The fragrance comm promote quite a few designer fragrances at the upper end of the designer line but frankly this line cannot stand the test against Zara vibrant leather summer or Zara vetiver pampalmousse.

It depends if you're looking for a Dior Homme Cologne clone or not. That's what Zara Vibrant Leather Summer is. It's very good, especially for the price, but the dry down isn't quite as good as the DHC one up close, but still good if you catch a whiff without your nose being next to your arm. The opening is spot on the same as DHC though 👍 definitely a good clone and lasts longer than DHC too. But obviously if you want to smell exactly like DHC, buy DHC 😂 I can't compared to YSL Y Eau Fraiche, I haven't managed to smell that one yet but I really want to. Comparing to it YSL Y EDP though, they're very different. For the price of Vibrant Leather Summer, I would say just buy both tbh. If you wanted YSL Y EDP or DHC for example, buy YSL Y EDP and Vibrant Leather Summer and you've basically got both for not much extra price ... I got my Vibrant Leather Summer for £9.99 from Zara UK site last week!

@@StevenTwoTwo I am not impressed by the YSL Y line. You should try Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse, it is available in the UK but sold out across many geographies. I got mine from France as it was sold out in the UAE. Zara Vibrant Leather Summer is a no brainer for someone looking to buy DHC at a significant discount 😊.
