Ya KZbin has a massive history of over correcting when something happens. The only time KZbin didn't go ballistic was during the Logan Paul forest video. They did go after people talking about it at the time though, likely because they wanted to plug the leaks considering the Paul Brothers were the face of KZbin at the time

They had this huge leak years ago of a meeting that took place where they wanted to get rid of certain creators I think leafy & keemstar were on that list which would take the form of linking monetization with recommendations which I think has been repeatedly been confirmed by several creators & fully explored by Nerd City but this is all old info so the learning algorithms have likely been tweaked repeatedly which should be it's own discussion especially when it comes to censorship & its effects on safe harbor

​@@austin_bennett I watched a very interesting video about 4 years ago, where an investigative journalist predicted a lot of this. Whether or not her reasoning was accurate... I dunno. But she seemed very nervous when cable channels started posting more on YT. She speculated that the "Cord Cutting" movement had devastated the profits of so many networks, that they would almost certainly elbow their way in to these spaces. And if they did that, it was only a matter of time before they worked out some backroom deals that promised huge amounts of money for YT... on the condition that YT give them preference on users Homepage and in the recommendations. Again, this was just speculation before any of this happened, but she had some pretty detailed thoughts on how they would achieve all this. And one of her biggest concerns was that YT would introduce policy that would allow them to ban, demonetize or deprioritize channels for very insignificant reasons. She likened it to them developing something similar to US traffic laws. The basic laws are meant to keep the roads safe and traffic flowing. But there are a great many laws that are essentially designed to give police the ability to make stops and conduct searches at-will. Like having an air freshener on the rearview. Seems like a pretty apt metaphor based on the events of the last few years. Like how YT suddenly started prohibiting creators from reporting on certain topics. Which just so happens to be the kinds of topics that get the most clicks. So, creators chose not to risk getting a strike or getting banned, but it seems that Fox, Cnn and Msnbc had no problem posting these stories. Which YT explained by citing them as "trusted sources" that were not subject to the same ToS. I dunno, it could all be a coincidence, but it's certainly interesting.

I think the problem is do to videos on a on going police investigation is going affect the case. KZbin’s have the power to influence the people to make case come specific verdict. As the court cases jury has to avoid media etcetera to not influence their opinion. As the information they rely for the verdict must come from the court case. Like Tate with misinformation form fans and friends. Also removal and violations are on somewhat of complaints basis. The system for what not allowed and who get gets removed for violations is very subjective.

1000% agree with Aba. I hate any type of those amateur vigilante types of channels/content. Same way I hate canceling people on Twitter. That shit should be for the courts, and not entertainment. I also hate how big tech companies and fed law enforcement will use any type of possible protection of children to invade citizens privacy and gain access to their personal devices and such.
