@@justinking5138 CRIS was the internal AOL tool that allowed viewing and editing member's info. It was viewable on an internal AOL account (account of someone who worked there), which people tried to crack regularly. At one point you could see credit card info and everything, although they later changed that for obvious reasons. It was used to cancel accounts, grab info, etc... Later on, it became only viewable if you logged into the account from AOL headquarters. MERLIN was the customer database itself

Haha, I use to love TOS'ing people. AOL days were the best, and since AOL supported HTML it was very easy to manipulate chatrooms and have people suspended, I would run 15 AOL 2.5s at once and flood PRs that were obvious or being watched and you would see CATWatch01 come in and then he would suspend all my < haha. Overhead accounts, EMP accounts, foreign accounts, HOST accounts (SID), were a lot of fun. I could go on for days of what mayhem I have caused, but I may end up in jail. Needless to say I had someone's electricity turned off, MERLIN>ACCOUNT INFO, call the electric company in victims area impersonating (usually the mother or father) and requesting electricity be shut off and cancel the service.... Those days were limitless and a huge part of my life, what a pathetic statement that is....
