Nothing compares to these old radio mysteries and dramas. The sound effects like cars and doors make it so real. The acting is perfect. I wish they made more podcasts or shows like these now with actors of today.

Laura, there are some radio theater groups which put on radio plays, but they are few and far between. Where I live in Massachusetts they have the Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theater group, which will occasionally have a play on the radio. The first thing I would recommend is to see if you can get the BBC radio stations through the internet. The put on radio plays all the time, and they repeat some on their classic theater, all the way back to the 1960s.

You should have the Bob Bailey and Howard McNear epsiodes as their own category. They're hilarious.

Merry Christmas to you to, old man, and a happy new year. Check out the Christmas with Johnny Dollar playlist. It includes all the Johnny Dollars, not just Bob Bailey. I think you would enjoy the episodes.

Is Mr blossom Floyd from Andy Griffith show
@michaeldegen385010 ай бұрын
Yes, his name was Howard McNear. If you listen to enough radio shows you will find he was everywhere. He had a stroke when he was on the Andy Griffith show, and from then on he was always sitting down when he gave his performance.

For those who enjoy researching the biographies of the supporting cast, those mentioned in the ending credits are Howard McNear, Herb Ellis, Herb Vigran, Junius Matthews, Herb Butterfield, Frank Gerstle and Johnny Jacobs.

I'm unsure if its shorter writing, Bob's personal fatigue at playing this character for years, or intentionally written that way, but Jonny sounds far more "jaded" in the 30min episodes 😂
