Hey Team!!! To everyone who noticed the little misplay in the first test hand with Gryphon activating (it shouldn’t have been able to because it wasn’t linked wHooPS): yes, we know it is there. Bryan, as you know, is super sick and we do these videos in one take and honestly just filming this was difficult and straining, and we didn’t even realize it when filming and we weren’t going to just take the video down because of it-misplays happen! :) and the second test hand is the correct and more ideal combo anywho, so we’re sorry there’s a small misplay in test hand one but good news, we have new zombie stuff coming to the channel soon and hopefully we will be in better health! Thanks for the Deck Profile! I always hear of Danger! being mixed with Zombies, so it was interesting to see! Glad to see it was Zombies that brought you back to the hobby! Batteryman may be my 1st love, but an urge to dabble with Zombies* (that grew over several years) was what got me back to the hobby not too long ago. Seeing Zombie Horde Structure Decks at Walmart online basically sealed the deal for me.** Hope you guys get better! *Since the Gemini Era, so it was a slow burn. I really like Il Blud's design, which remind me of Tim Burton artwork, and seeing Zombie Master's happy face just makes me smile for some reason. **While by no means competitive, I like the Shiranui Zombie Archetype. I like the feudal Japan aesthetic (Inu Yasha fans, rejoice!), and read a bit of feudal Japanese history (because, Samurai). Also, I play the RTS game Total War Shogun 2 --my favourite historical Samurai clan are the Shimazu from Kyushu (the big southern island of Japan)-- so the fact that the "ghost fire" folklore originated from Kyushu interested me.

kinda wondering why you're playing armageddon knight over gozuki though, gozuki does essentially the same thing but is already a zombie and has an added effect when sent to gy. gozuki can send every zombie including mezuki while armageddon knight basically can only send bloom, balerdroch or banshee

The one issue is, as you mentioned, the Gryphon misplay. However, other than that this deck is nuts. Some good cards to keep an eye on are the Nat Beast package (Glow-Up Bulb and Gozuki's) sine we have Needlefiber coming soon. Winda and the trap that searches any card are slept on as well.

I've been playing zombies for a really long time, and to be honest, you can create the rivalry lock with one or two cards, and any extenders in hand plus rivalry if it's there help too. You dont need to put in a danger engine at all. you could just have just solitaire, uni zombie, foolish, banshee, terraforming, called by the grave, bulb, gozuki, one for one, armageddon, grepher if you prefer, monster reborn, swallow slash, or any variation as long as you have at least one monster and one extender.....which is literally over half of the deck. That typically yields the same outcome with less wasted resources and instead leaves you with vampire sucker, a doomking, and a bunch of traps like strike, crackdown, summon limit, rivalry, compulsory, trap trick, etc. the danger engine is good....but just a waste of space in a control based deck imo.

That’s all fine and dandy. Which ever way you prefer to play the deck and whatever works for you. This is simply just a suggestion to those who are looking for more of a combo version. I wouldn’t say this is control, though it has some aspects. It’s unique and that’s why I think I enjoy it. I didn’t like dangers in the deck for a long time, but to each is own. I found the trap version to be a bit to slow my my liking. :-/ but everyone gets to build differently and that’s why we love this game so much! :D

So after testing and testing i can confirm that your video and profile is the reason why will play zombies again! Both of you thanks. I have found out that Winda in this build is broken. You can special summon her with Mezuki back to the field while there is zombie world open and after you summon her with Instant Fusion. So your opponent can only special summon once per turn!

Thanks man. I actually have a newer addition on the deck already. I tested it for a few weeks and made some small adjustments. Going into nat beast turn one is really strong. The winds play is strong but it also locks you into the same restriction... I don’t like that too much. Too each is own though :)

To be fair, any deck with recovery options usually has the most potential in this game. Recycling materials in Yu-Gi-Oh is far more powerful than in any other TCG or OCG due to the lack of actual energy management.

A heads up for that first test hand: you should send glow up bloom not doom king, and just summon the king (this is important for the second point) you have to have your gryphon be linked on summon to set a spell/trap, so you needed another body on field to allow him his affect still

Yes that is something we realized after editing. However once you active bloom you’re locked into zombies for the rest of the turn so you can go into gryphon.

Hehehe Brian my man !!! I don't understand why people sleep on zombies, I managed to break the deck completely post ETCO. I didn't even add a single card to the main deck and I transformed an average 2-3 card combo into a consistent draw 2-4 + 5-6 interruptions with a lethal follow up. Very interesting take on the deck, my build is a little less combo heavy and focuses on controlling the pace of the game I don't run instant fusion or Knightmare but I run 3 super polys and I only run the level 8 dangers being Bigfoot and Thunderbird and focus on making XYZ plays like Hope Harbringer and Sky Prison which is basically Rank 8 Abyss Dweller

Crush Cards can I ask a technical question regarding the Rivalry of warlords and zombie world interaction? I know that my opponent can't tribute, normal or special summon any other monster than a zombie... but can they set a monster such as shaddoll dragon and flip it to return zombie world or rivalry to my hand and get over the summoning requirement?? Additionally, if my opponent just sets a non-flip non-zombie monster and it gets flipped face-up does it count as summoning a zombie monster? or would the monster have to be a zombie in the hand before it is set on the field? Sorry if this is a silly question but I have had a few arguments regarding this mechanic and I thought I would ask the zombie master!

Robert Farrell these are actually both great questions. I’m glad you asked. So 1st, yes. Your opponent can set monsters. Set monsters are considered “unknown.” Therefore they are allowed to control a monster and a set monster. However, if I am not mistaken, on the following turn of they still control the one monster and a set monster, they are not allowed to flip summon the unknown die to rivalry. (Idk if that’s what you meant or not??) However, say they control nothing, they can set one and in the following turn flip summon (as they control nothing) to attempt to trigger their effs. That being said, once the monster is flipped zombies world will make it a zombie, and you can then just negate it with doomking. 😎

The list looks quiet interesting. Although during the 1st combo of your test hands, you need an extra monster. Because Gryphon is the only monster on the field it's continous effect blocks the effect to set a spell/trap from the grave. Nontheless cool video keep it up man!

PlatinumV so this is a common question. Idk if you saw but we posted a zombie control deck profile yesterday! :) all of the things you mentioned are in that deck. However this deck is specifically built to turbo curious. Ash, jack, CBTG they are all just bricks that don’t help you do that. I’d rather play a deck with 36 extenders, and just push through all that my opponent has, as opposed to building to try to combat it. Check out the control profile on the channel bro.

Yeah but if you can't set the rivalry with gryphon , its becomes kind of a weak board You need 2 more extenders to do the right combo with rivalry and blocker and it's difficult to achieve

Major respect for including Curious in the thumbnail lol Lightsworns are my favourite casual deck right now. Edit: Also, anyone who says Super Poly is unfair is usually playing a DARK-heavy deck. Sure, Zombie World and Lair of Darkness can make a powerful combo off of it, but you usually have to build around Super Poly anyways to make the best use of it.

Literally trying that right now!!!!! This deck needs a way to set up spell negates turn 1. The only issue I’m having is even with all these extenders... seeing your bulb, and getting a level 4 out is NOT consistent enough. Thinking about destrudo and Dawn Dragster instead 🤔

I don't think keeping solitaire and glow-up bloom really helps this deck cuz of obvious consistency issues with zombies. Plus if gryphon+rivalry is your win con then doomking just need to be dumped to the gy, not summoned by bloom which usually locks you into zombies before reaching your end board. Also, no bloom=extra deck space

To be fair, rivalry search is just a play. It’s not the play though. It’s strong but this deck is capable of doing soooo much more. I’m actually dropping a combo tutorial/test hand run through video in the next day or so. Feel free to check back and see the changes we made :)

I'm so happy that frogs didn't get smashed with the new ban list....it's a deck I have been building and honestly used Logan's build as a base for it. I might change a few things in order to fit my play style better but it was a great base to start from. So thank you for that. I do have 1 question about the extra deck for frogs, and that I why you don't use the Paleo XYZ monsters? They can be summoned with the traps as XYZ material and can let you search the paleo traps from your deck.

What do u do if the opp attack board blocker then ur doom king has no effect cuz it isn’t linked and zombie world can be destroyed by card effects...can’t figure out how to protect him as the lockdown is so fragile pls lmk ur strategy I been trying to make zombies good for months

There is a control profile on the channel and I play ghost belle in that version. But in combo it’s a brick. You want active cards in this build, not reactive. Just depends on the play style. Check out the control profile though friend. It went up a few days ago. :)

To my knowledge it just states they must be linked.. not co-linked. If it said co-linked then yes that is the case. However they just have to have an arrow to activate

Just a thought. Wouldn't having rivalry be pointless if you have Zombie World on the field making all the opponents monsters one type as well.

So your thought process is correct but it’s the interaction that is tricky. So zombie world does turn everything on the field into a zombie. However, in order for that to happen, the monster must first hit the field. EX: your opponent goes to summon blue-eyes. Blues eyes is a dragon. The dragon hits the field and then zombie world makes it a zombie. Rivalry doesn’t even let the summon happen because blue-eyes is not ALREADY a zombie. The type must be zombie before the summon in order for the summon to be successful. Therefore, zombie world and rivalry lock your opponent out of summoning. It’s reaaaally strong!

@@CrushCards all good. i love zombie too. my varient goes more a control pattern where i don't put danger cuz i don't like the randomness in zombie. when i put danger, i like to add allure in the main and saryuja in the extra. to have that extra draw power. basically i use the danger as potential upstart and nutrient of allure. which makes a much better draw power of zombie.

The question would be for what? A lot of people play synchros in zombies and I could see something like nat beast, but if you’re not getting a direct negation off of going beg 1 I don’t see it being worth it. Something like Borreload savage would be good, but a 6 & a 3 makes me thing trish. Personally, I don’t really care too much about ripping a card out of their hand if they can’t play any cards in their hand any ways. That’s just my thought process. 🙏🏼 I hope it helps :D

In all honesty... he doesn’t. :-/ it’s just too situational of a card and has way too many restrictions. He is a fire which isn’t part of the combo, and he requires you to discard a zombie.. :-/ jack is great in control zombies, but in combo.. he just doesn’t make it in my opinion. :(

No because you don’t want to keep banishing play starters and cards you want in grave, so the dangers just make it a little easier with drawing and also getting bodies on board! :)

Not at all, it’s actually a really broken lock! As soon as your opponent summons a monster, you flip rivalry, meaning they can only now summon zombies. Yes zombie world makes everything a zombie but that’s once it hits the field. In order for it to hit the field it has to already be a zombie (thanks to rivalry) so they are locked out of their deck, extra deck and hand, unless their monsters are already zombies. 🤗

I thought about it... tried it out and it was just too much of a neg one. Having to pitch 2 just to foolish one wasn’t worth it... plus having lost a Nessie.. feels bad too
