Matthew Mcmillian yeah but I guess if you're also playing Sky Strikers with it, including Engage, you have enough consistency to do things with only one and reclusia is pretty mediocre, so . . . The tuner should probably be at 3 if not 4 with rota though

A well "thought" deck tbh, all the necessary cards are there, but I would like to point out 1 thing and it's Crusadia Vanguard. I play it at 1 cuz of 2 things: searchable via Regulex and a cool disruption, and ppl never expect it, at least at my local lol. A nice combo which you can do with Vanguard is the following (Rescue Cat + Hornet Drones): 1) Activate Cat's eff, chain Drones for a token, then summon 2 Leonis 2) Use 1 Leo for Magius, then link it with Kagari (add Draco from deck/add Drones from GY) 3) Link2 into Regulex and sp Draco to it's link zone (add back Leo from GY/Search Vanguard from Deck) 4) Now link3 into Trisbaena using Regulex and the remaining Leo on the field, then set Vanguard Your field is now: Trisbaena + Draco + Vanguard During your opponent's end phase, you can use Vanguard to tribute Draco and Summon Reclusia from your Deck (to Trisbaena's link zone), then destroy 1 monster on your opponent's field and your Vanguard, now Tris will remove his backrow. I used this cool combo against a Tellarknight guy at my local (he lost game 1 and allowed me to start), I waited at his end phase to use this and destroyed his Deneb + 4 set cards including 1 Rivalry Of Warlords xD Anyway this is a good way to counter some stun decks and might work sometimes, Crusadia is very aggressive but also extremely fragile, if the opponent knows how to disrupt your plays then its hard to OTK using Equimax all the time. Ordered this deck inline last Saturday when I saw everyone at the UDS was running gouki, true draco, and strikers. Sleeper otk indeed.

Awesome deck! However, having it played for a while, I think Rescue cat is not a good card in this deck. It is too much stoppable, all the meta cards can stop it, basically ash blossom, called by the grave, solemns. And if they stop it, you usually don't have anything else to do, leaving the field empty for the attacks. Not to say that Elephun (Or Valerifawn in my case) is dead draw all the times and it can happen very frequently. Only backup is to hope to have monster reborn in the hand, red reboot for solemns or called by the grave for handtraps, then the risk is minimized. It is however a good side deck card, knowing your opponent doesn't run handtraps or solemns, its less risky to run it. But anyway, who doesn't run the handtraps... :D Also, i've found out its best not to activate it on first turn even if you draw it, just do something else and if that does not work out, bring the rescue cat and go for the all in. P.S. Love your content! Awesome deck profiles, I'm always amazed by the people who can get it all and create good deck of every archetype and format. Yugioh is just too complex to understand everything but you seem to defy that observation, keep it up!

The trap is def needed. Especially going first. It's great for disruption, like summoning reclusia from deck to pop a card during your opponents first turn. It can also summon draco from grave for recovery plays. You should highly consider adding it.

I love the rescue cat explanation. So spicy ! But in the coming months, this deck is gonna be widely played. I suggest playing ghost reaper for the mirror match. The deck is very reliant on getting that first move off. It can still play and win without magius, but it sucks not having access to it

I really like your build but I think you should run 1 of the Crusadia trap card because it really helps you when you don't go second, plus it wont bring the consistency down since its a one of due to being searchable

I love teching Mekk-Knight Indigo Eclipse. Its zone shifting ability can really elevate your damage output, i.e. summon it to a zone Magius points to trigger his search, attack with his 2500ATK, then shift Indigo's position to allow it to attack to swing with the mekk knight, effectively doubling your damage and freeing Magius zone to link climb. Maybe not the most consistent Combo but it feels so good to play around crusadias attack restriction

I really like that Naturia Beast combo, I'll have to try that! What I've been using is a Mekk-Knight engine, as Morningstar can search out either World Legacy Succession or Crown, and Mekk-Knights can trigger either Magius or Regulex. I do run triple Called by the Grave right off the bat, but I think two is a good number as well. Going first with my build requires little more from your hand, but I've been attempting to land Equimax pointing to World Crown and Arboria, as you can tribute Arboria for Equimax, and then World Crown for that extra deck effect negation, and still protect Equimax with Arboria in the GY. I also run Impermanence too, works well but it's not necessary. :)

I use Mekk-Knights too but I run 1 Blue Sky, 2 Purple Nightfall, 2 Indigo Eclipse and 1 Red Moon. +3 Memory and 1 Secrets (Secrets + Indigo can stop quite a bunch of things and Equimax can do the rest.) I don't like Blue Sky at 3 because it does nothing going first. Purple Nightfall is my favorite by far. 2500 atk for Equimax, searches immediately into Indigo which can be switched into Equimax's zones. Blue Sky + Arboria can end you up with a Stardust Spark Dragon which can protecc Equimax from battle and card effect destruction, which is pretty chill though.

It's pretty much the whole Crusadia line-up with 2 Revival, 2 Power(Possibly 3 if you want to) and 1 Vanguard, 4 Kaiju's and a slumber, 1 Mekk-Knight Blue Sky, 2 Purple Nightfall, 2 Indigo Eclipse, 1 Red Moon, 3 World Legacy's Memory, 1 World Legacy Succession and 1 World Legacy's Secret. The rest of the cards are just general thingies. I don't run Rescue Cat because it is too easy to ash blossom and ruin your entire turn.

I just want to say i love this deck as well, made 2nd in my locals. The 1st place winner also being a crusadia player but one thing i did want to point out is that crusadia power does not prevent reclusia from destroying itself. If you read power correctly you'll see that it says is unaffected by card effects this turn, "except its own". Power would have been busted other wise.

Definitely look into playing Summoner Monk and Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir. Summoner Monk can special summon your Rescue Cat from your deck, and then you can use Summoner Monk at the end of the combo to make Bagooska in defense to lock down your opponent's non-link monsters while Equimax remains unaffected by Bagooska.

maybe something to think about, since altergeist is still a thing, maybe put in a naturia barkion and a X-saber airbellum in side for those nasty trap cards. against something like altergeist and paleo going first with a naturia beast is useless, this way you can have an out against them to. oh and if there were qustions about what to side out, jsut replace the lvl 2 with the lvl 3 tuner:P

Great deck profile bro! Did one myself. Been doing well in locals with it. My thing is I swapped the cyber dragons and the rescue cat. My meta at locals is gouki, draco, cyber dragon, mekk knights, spyral. Having an immediate out to boards with cyber dragon going secon is hilarious. Cyber dragon costs 10x more than this deck and cant do anything with the deck lol

I play Arboria at 3 and Engage at 2, but my list actually looks very similar to this otherwise. I put Arboria to 3 because I added Coral Dragon to my extra deck as a kind of extender, and I've seen a lot of success with it so far. It gives Reclusia and Leo so more use as well.

Reminder that you can use Rescue Ferret instead of Rescue Cat. The only problem you may need to resolve is that it needs a Link monster. Normal Ferret. > Effect to shuffle it and special summon Crusadia Draco and Elephun, or two Crusadia Liones/Reclusias to zones your Link monster points to. Just a budget option for people since Ferret is currently cheaper than Rescue Cat.

With the crusadia quick spell I always have the problem that you can't use it on your Equimax since it's then unaffected by your own important effects (Maximus, leonis, Fieldspell). And once your opponents know what they are up against, they will just let you do everything you want and then proceed to negate your big dude.

Getting back into ygo after a long while. Just wondering about something said at 15:21 about the searching. I was wondering why Ash Blossom can't negate the effect. Is it because Ash Blossom can only be activated to negate the most recent card in the chain? Coming back from MTG and such where you can respond to each spell on the stack individually so this is throwing me for a loop. Thanks in advance!

Not sure if you'll see this since it's been so long but it's called chain blocking. Chains resolve backwards so magius or regulex being chain one and draco effect activates on summon making it 2 so your opponent can only respond to draco since it's the next in line.

yo cali can we see a crusadia/mekk - knight deck profile. with the mekk knights you can make morning star. get succession for free. and still make equimax. also to correct you, world legacy world crown will not be able to search out sucession unless it was normal summoned first. you could cut one crusadia power for the trap. you only need 1 and helps with going first. you can end board with equimax, nat beast, and the trap. if you have another crusadia monster under equimax the trap will get out crown, reclusia to use on your opponent's turn; draco for recursion, or tribute fodder for equimax. great video otherwise

I am too poor to play Sky Strikers so I switched over to Mekk-Knights. They can easily be summoned to Magius and Regulex, have 2300+ attack to boost Equimax, have a call of the haunted that works as a floodgate, you can summon them from the deck with Memory's and you can make Morning Star to search a monster reborn or the floodgate call of the haunted.

I would play 3 of each Crusadia and 2 World crowns, simply because you cant search crown, and sometimes you wanna see it. Also People play more then one Copy of Revival because this thing called Backrow-Removal exists, and if it blows you up, you would need to invest a Draco recover to get it back, easiser to just search another one with regulex and also more chances of breaking the enemy board. Also, the Sky Striker stuff is kinda useless as soon as you want to start your actual plays, since you always want a Monster in you Main Monster Zone for those sweet bonuses. Also: Crusadias are Designed to OTK. Just look at the Link Monsters. inserting Control aspects is fine, since it helps them turn 1, but you normally want to go Second and just OTK out the Ass...Also, the Deck lives and dies by the Normal Summon. Negate that, and its over...Non the less an interesting approach to the deck, even though I highly doubt that it is going to be Tier 1. As already Mentioned: LIves and dies by the Normal Summon...

Honestly playing the Sky Striker engine in this deck makes it so linear and limits what the deck can really do. Besides everyone knows how to either stop Sky Strikers or counter them now. Hence the Nat Beast. Sure it adds a different dynamic of consistency for a grindier build or stalling until you get the OTK, but realize this deck has a better potential of going first than just an old school style of over extending and go for game turn 2 as well.

@calieffect I've been meaning to build crusadias and I've been play testing them and when going first I've found a 3 card combo that can end with Crystal wing naturia beast and borreload monster along with a token but I'm not sure if it's worth it due to the other "dead" cards you don't wanna draw due to rescue ferret which I run and other cards you need to run in the extra deck and have you ever considered running pinpoint landing? I feel like it was meant to be in this deck

Matthew Mcmillian well for this combo you're going to need to be running glow up bulb synchro fusionist and black wing steam the cloak and jet synchron in your deck and Accel synchron and any random level 7 synchro and zefra metaltron in your extra deck as well as that level 4 earth warrior fusion because instant fusion is a part of the combo and yea I know they may be a waste of deck space but it works out for me So it's a three card combo consisting of any crusadia monster rescue ferret and hornet drones 1. Activate hornet drones go into kagari and add back the drones 2. Link kagari into hayate 3. special the crusadia monster in your hand to the zone hayate points to 4. Link both into regulus 5. Activate hornet drones again and link into the water sky striker and regulus will let you add any crusadia spell 6. Link regulus and the sky striker into zefra metaltron 7. Normal ferret and use it's effect to shuffle it to the deck and special steam the cloak synchro fusionist and glow up bulb from your deck 8. Synchro steam and fusionist into accel synchron and activate both steam and fusionist to add instant fusion to your hand and summon a level 1 token due to steam's effect 9. Use Accel synchrons effect to dump jet synchron into the grave to raise it's level by 1 10. synchro Accel and the token to make a level 7 synchro 11. Use Jet synchrons effect to dump the random crusadia spell or trap to special summon him and synchro into Crystal wing using him and the level 7 synchro 12. Use steam's graveyard effect to get rid of glow up bulb and special steam 13. Use glow up bulb and special summon itself 15. Activate instant fusion and special the earth level 4 fusion and synchro glow up bulb and him into naturia beast 16. Link steam and the metaltron into any other link you want and it gets you another token And that's the combo please tell me if there's any better option and I know many cards are bricks but I find the combo to be consistent

I'd recommend looking into Mekk-Kights if you can afford that. It's cheaper than the Sky Strikers but still does cost something. I found them very helpful in my deck and they have gotten me out of plenty a bad situation.

Does consistency = resilience on your scale? I think I'm reading them as Consistency = ability to combo off with any combination of cards in hand (not taking opp board/ hand into consideration), Recover = ability to refuel and recur resources on the following turn or after board has been broken, Defense = ability to prevent opp from setting up/ breaking board, Power = ability to break opp board through various methods, Attack = ability to get again break opp board (more so through brute strength and Attack Power) Resiliency = *could refer to* ability to combo through opp interaction and disruption. Not sure of the difference between attack and power or if the opp board/ hand is considered in one of the previously mentioned scales (and im sure you've mentioned it before but was just needing some clarification on my part). i like to play 4 or 5 kaijus rather than 3 ro get them more consistently also the trap card is good going first since you can special the reclusia from the deck and use its effect to destroy the trap and 1 card you opponent controls

Unfortunately Kagari is extremely important since it protects your link-1 monster which is crucial. You can play without it but it's just worse.

@@jojo77567 Yes but what I tried to state is that engage is unreplacable, since your deck is worse without it. It's not like in some cases where you could use a different engine instead (like power tool Spyrals instead of Sky striker Spyrals).

Rescue cat is great, but people ash blossom it way too much. And this deck needs its normal summon to not be interrupted. Cause unless you draw monster reborn or soul charge you have no way to special summon the crusadia monsters without a link monster already on field

That was what I was thinking too. Power can't help unless you are part of the Crusade. So only Called by the Grave can prevent Cat from being Ash'd

Because of just how prevalent handtraps are in the game, I can never understand why people choose to only play two Called by the Grave. Isn't it a card you want to see at least turn 1 or 2? Also, what do you think about playing Invoked or Scapegoats in a going first build?

Kinda doing what anyone tries to do in a first turn board, set up some negates, getting out Mechaba and maybe a Borreload Dragon or Nat Beast or something. Better question, I know this is a mainly going second deck, but what's your best first turn board you can make with the deck?

Mainly talking about the percentages of your opponent having any of the dozen or so card that activate in the hand, and you only have 3 of a card that can stop all of those. Called by the Grave is too valuable to me to not be maining 3 especially in a going second styled deck

This deck is so vulnerable to trap cards, that... Two Aubade Palladion ,two Designators, one Widow Anchor are excellent protection from hand traps and monster effects. With 3-4 (I run 4) kaiju's you can get rid of part of their field. But what can you do against backrow? And don't tell me Fiendish Illusion, you are searching either Vast Sky or Celestial Bodies... (who opens with both...) A single solemn strike is AUTO-LOSS. Swap them lock's for red reboot or something... If they destroy/negate your normal summon, and your sky striker engine is down, its auto loss... If they negate your Arch-lord summon, you lose... How can this be Tier 1, when it loses to every lair player. Every altergeist, or a random deck that happens to run a traphole or solemn strike...

They're good, but people don't really play pure Sky Striker, they mix it with other stuff. Also, Nat Beast is just a given win against pure Sky Striker, and it's not much worse against the Trickstar varient.
