As a long time DM player, still so sad about souls being over 100 a copy...rip...but man, great profile. Its not always about playing the top tier decks. Sometimes just playing what you actually like is the best way to go. Keep having fun man. Thanks for the vid.

Magitians soul effect is it takes your soul away. 3x magicians soul equals around 20 to 30 hours of work time.

I run this deck competitively and I still use DMG. Bond is good to search out Dark Magic Attack and her being in the grave lets soul servant give me so much more advantage

I prefer to have 3 different arts for my Dark Magicians. I've got the classic purple outfit, a secret rare of his red and blue outfit (I know that's not super helpful in describing which one I'm talking about as that color scheme is used in like 4 different prints for him) and lastly a secret gold rare one if his silver and black look.

I've never seen anyone using relinquished anima (link -1 specaster monster) its pretty helpful for any deck.. saved me multiple times.

I'm kinda hoping that Magicians' Souls gets an errata instead of being banned where it can only for Dark Magician and Dark Magician only.

They will ban the spyral card instead of hitting this. The spyral card is the only degenerate use of this card, and while it’s good in other decks, it’s at least pretty fair in them. Spyral Master plan is the problem here

magician girl is useful too. it allows you to draw more with faithful servant,and works with double soul. also she can be a fusion material for the dark magicians. and when the dark magicians got popped, you can summon her right back. along with other summons you can first link summon annaconda and i:p, then special summon dragun. and i:p allows you link either accesscode talker or mexx knight. which are both op. but i play ocg tho.

I only have 1 Magicians Souls. Not planning to get 2 till a price decrease, so my replacements are DMG, Palladium Mahad (which is good for Soul Servant). Instead of Dark Burning Magic, Magicians Combination, and Bonds Between Teacher and Student, I put 2 Ash Blossoms, Upstart Goblin, and Skill Drain or Crackdown. I also prefer adding 2 Solemn Judgements.

also i normally send mana to the grave with double soul (magicians soul), when your magicians are being targetd you can special summon her either from hand or grave. she will also keeps lv 7 magicians on court. also works with faithful servant.

after you summon dragun, there will at least be a mana and a dark magician in gy, so your faithful servant works as better version of pot of greed because it even allows you to decide what you what and sometimes you can draw more than 2 cards. servants also works with dark magicians. for example, you set eternal soul or navigation on top, activate dark magicians' effect, draw one. if its trap you can use it at this turn. then you can banish servant and draw however many cards you can AND special summob dark magician.

On the topic of DMG though... She's actually nowhere near that bad for a more competitive build, when you're using stuff like Bond Between Teacher and Student and Dark Burning Magic. Soul Servant gets a boost, Magicians' Souls gets that extra draw off her...she gives you more access to Norito along with Apprentice. I mean, its opinion, sure, but I feel that she's worth the slot.

Because Magicians Rod only searches a Spell/Trap card that Specifically lists “Dark Magician” in its card text. However, Eye of Timaeus’s effect says “Dark Magician” monster, which means it’s not specifically listing Dark Magician in its text which also means Rod can’t search out Timaeus
