[Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links] Desert Twister, the KING of Last Gamble Decks

Also ran into 3 or 4 players playing this deck on my climb. Haha p c00l.
A little more analysis on LG Desert Twister:
- matches up well against Relinquished and Harpies simply because of Wild Tornado/Storm
- you don't have to destroy HHG in the Harpie matchup, you'll never set anything besides econ and wild tornado anyways. econ you can chain onto the harpie and wild tornado is a bait.
- if Relinquished succs up your Blue Dragon, you can still destroy it and get the effect triggered so you can pull Dai Greph for earth fodder
- if you plan on Wild Tornado+Smoke+Storm combo a Relinq, equip your Smoke onto their Sonic or Senju instead if possible, they will likely Transport their Relinq so the Smoke Grenade effect fizzles if you put it on him
- also make sure you have Twister + Dai Greph for 4000 dmg to capitalize in case he Transports his Relinq and leaves himself open
- hard matchups for this deck: GK, Weevil, Keith Venus
- if you say "rastu gamboro" when you activate skill, you are guaranteed to roll a 6
- contemplating on taking out the hane-hane earth slot for a wind monster

Hey have you ever thought about Last Gamble, Flash Assailant, Reverse trap and a bunch of card drawing cards? Instead of the assailant losing a bunch of attack it gains a lot from the cards in ur hand... idk it's just an idea. It may work or not. Btw I love ur videos!

I believe Reverse Trap was patched so it no longer works this way, but I could be wrong. I saw ruroshin make a Reverse Trap Flash Assailant deck months ago, and I haven't seen him use it or speak of it since, so I believe the patch made to Reverse Trap made it less useful somehow in this regard.

gunsblazing I used a BEWD Combo deck, I require several cards to make the deck work. therefore, I think Last Gamble is better for my deck. Anyhow, it all depends on the deck and the required combo and the probability of pulling it off

3 of hiro and warm worm is probably really important. try some shallow grave or regretful rebirth to revive worm. i don't recommend tether of defeat because you don't have a lot of ways to destroy their monsters by battle. i've seen duel standby tea work with that deck.

the 1600 def makes a difference when you have metalmorph or the opponent's mons are weak. so i think in most cases, kyonshee's better.

i think last gamble is really crucial over switcheroo. i have no experience playing it with switcheroo, but i think you'll need to add in card draw cards as well as discard mechanics to help feed twister. but the problem is that there's no room left in the deck.

Is desert twister still viable or is this still a viable deck? Not asking a trick question, but my thoughts is that nowadays.. it's abit "no"? dai grepher is pretty much weak and outdated compared to the cards now and similarly blue dragon summoner isn't as useful or necessary as it was before . I just got 3 desert twisters finally.. but sadly am finding out it's pretty pointless now. I know you're currently building decks form new cards etc and focusing on the new stuff.. but would you ever consider coming back to doing an updated desert twister deck?

I have been falling in to gold rank 5 from platinum 3 with this deck I don't know why happen like this even though I have defeated your last gamble deck in plat 3. when opponent summons relinquish early you don't even get to survive 5th turn so you can use last gamble.

fun deck to use but i hate that i always toss 1. like seriously out of 10 duels i reckon i toss 7 1s or 2s. what algorithms is Konami using? Same as coin toss? 1-3 is a tail and 4-6 is a head? also i find grenade to be not that useful. majority of the time is just a dead card and only good to use as fodder.

Oo2k10 I'd have to second that smoke grenade is pretty good, especially as storm fodder. Removing a card from your opponent's hand (and seeing what they have) is a really strong effect

it's the 2nd best skill for it, but still not close to how good LG is. LG's discard and draw are too good for enabling twister and getting the storm combo, things switcheroo doesn't have.

Im using this deck or at least a variation of it. Im starting to realize how powerful and necessary econ is for this deck. I dont have adhesive explosive so Im using a 3rd lady bug and I have no econ so Im using the supremacy berry that you used to have in this deck. Having a hard time making it to gold rank 4. Jrion don't replace ur 3rd lady bug with yomi ship as it's water and not earth or wind. You need earth or wind in order to summon desert twister the whole point of this deck
