The link 1 artemis is used for the occasion in which you open the spellbook of drawing 2, which needs you to send a spellcaster to graveyard. The problem with endy is that they are pendulums, if you send them to graveyard they do not go there (the draw 2 fizzles), artemis is used to get out of this shitty situation by giving you the opportunity of normal summoning a low level pendulum and turning it in something that actually goes to gy to let you draw 2.

I won't be able to for this list as after some more testing it wasn't that great so now I just played magician pendulum
