The game isn't impossibly difficult, just takes compiling a list of the good fusions you can make and so, so much freaking patience. You keep grinding against the duelists that can give you the best cards in the game and the drop rates for them are extremely small. So what you end up usually doing is instead compiling a deck of twin headed thunder dragon fusion pieces and equip cards.

Well to be fair, the game cheated all the time. I didn't realize it until I was building a retroPie system and loaded up Forbidden Memories for old times' sake and I realized the AI was cheating right in front of me, ignoring summon requirements and just putting any card down they wanted. No wonder it was so hard back then..

Yep. GX games were great too. Both from Ps2 and GBA/DS. Exploring the Duel Academy and the Fusions Era were the best thing ever. We deserve some Collection/Remastered indeed.

Man I recall getting so far in this game without resorting to getting cards via the card trader system. Just relied on my summoning smarts to unleash Twin Headed Thunder Dragon and steamroll as much as I can... xD (I got stuck to that Mountain Guardian dude back in the day...)

For those of us who remember playing this game as kids, this is not accurate gameplay. This guy has cheated to have the best cards in his deck. It might soothe your soul a tiny bit to see someone finally beating the game. But it ain't real. As someone who's beaten this game 3 times now it has taken hours and hours AND HOURS to beat how the game was made. There's no shortcuts. It's brutal. But I do love this game so I will probably come back in another 2 years to do it again and sacrifice many hours to do it.

Unless you have to collect starchips to buy some equip or good cards by enter the card codes, except there's certain cards with required 99999+ to able to buy that card, for example, Blue Eyes White Dragon

OH YES!!!!... its the untold story of Pharaoh Atem in his time never added in the anime just PS Exclusive....and if you played the GBC Yugioh Dark Duel Stories you are already Familiar with these characters and bosses... specially the FINAL BOSS... He used cheat-engine. You cannot win blue eyes white dragon unless it's from Seto 3rd after you've beaten the game. And gaia the dragon champion does not exist as a stand-alone card unless you use cheat-engine.

Damn, you play like a cheater too. You could have had the guy in your 2nd turn if you just put the plant with the dragon scroll first to get the B Dragon Jungle King, and then added the electric to get the Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon. You should definitely trying playing this game sometime. It is actually good when you get into it, instead of just getting randomly overpowered cards and stumbling into a guaranteed victory.

He’s definitely cheating. Overpowered cards is one thing, he could of transferred them from a different memory card. But he’s using cards u cant even get. Only way to get Summoned Skull is 999999 star chips, which realistically nobody is ever going to get. So yeah, definitely cheating.

A japanese pocket station was used to obtain the following(cannot be done with American playstation): Gaia the Dragon Champion,Cosmo Queen,Sengenjin,Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon,BOTH Great Moths or Gate Guardian...not possible WITHOUT one. he used something like game shark or a modded iso to obtain these powerful cards. Ultimate Great Moth which he has later in the game is literally impossible to obtain without cheating, or owning the original Japanese version and a poketstation.

I hated this game at first. When I thought the rules I knew applied, but no monster effects, certain spell and trap cards didn't do what they normally did, AND triple fusion like blue eyes ultimate dragon were ritual summon PLUS ritual summons themselves required 3 certain monsters instead of the appropriate amount of stars. Man I hated this game at first but I grew to like it. But it still sucks you can't purchase certain monsters in the game and have to depend on ritual and fusion summons while the opponent can r*pe you like a braulick black dude named raquese with 3 ultimate dragons.
