The differences between the first and second versions are really small that no one probably would have noticed without this compilation. The first difference is when Jaden/Judai is looking at duel academy. First he turns to look at duel academy but in the second already has him facing the building. The second is when he’s looking back at his memories roundly with a smile on his face. The second version he’s not smiling. This could be a transition to his thoughts changing to those moments with Jesse/Johan if so the animators did a good job with that

It's a long story.

Nice seeing my textless edit of the V1 version here, haha; I can especially tell given I didn't get Judai's hair perfectly cleaned up. It's a real shame that version was never released textless officially, it's a very poignant version with Judai looking down there and all. Much as I love that version, though, V3 always feels perfectly matched to the song, and I love Kenichi Hara's work on these.

The final part really shows Judai's mind in each opening through one and two, he is worry about his friends, he wants to protect those memories, through opening 3, he can only think about Johan, the amount of obssession seen for just one person shows the guilt that Judai feels and how that's why he falls and become the Supreme King, that's why he changes, grows so much, his guilt is this driving force now, not to protect those he cares about in this situation.

If you watch for the first time is like normal opening but if you watch gx for the 2nd time its hitting hard when you know Judai is slowly going into darker path

Chévere como remplazaron a Bastion Misawa en los dos primeros openings y lo regresaron en el último, para ser el eje principal de la trama que: - Descubre el método que hay seguir con la carta del dragón arcoiris para regresar a los protagonistas la primera vez, lo que significa que si no es gracias a él no regresan. - Insta a Jaden a usar el poder del rey oscuro para derrotar a Yubel y el como es su responsabilidad hacerlo para que todos sus amigos vuelvan. Prácticamente si no es por él la trama no avanza (de manera al menos lógica, porque no tiene sentido que los demás personajes sepan lo que sabe Bastion). Hay algunos que dicen ¡No pero fijate, se quedó con la Amazona Tania, y mirala lo buena que está, que buen final! Para nada, eso significó no aparecer en el resto del anime y sobre todo, no aparecer en la temporada 4, que es la mejor temporada de Yu Gi Oh GX, no se llevó un buen desarrollo explorando lo que él quería ser de grande, no obtuvo un capitulo centrado en él, no tuvo su revancha con Chazz ni con Jaden (Y eso es otra cosa, tanto Chazz como Bastion se merecían ganarle a Jaden al menos una vez y no perpetuar ese estigma de que el protagonista en Yu Gi Oh nunca pierde contra los personajes secundarios) y básicamente su personaje se quedó en un punto vacío. Es más, Jaden debió tener un duelo al final del anime con Chazz, no con Yugi, porque se supone Chazz es el rival de Jaden dentro de la historia, la pelea de Jaden contra Yugi es puro fan service, y el fan service no es un buen elemento para cerrar una historia.

La pelea de Judai vs Yugi es un buen cierre. Judai se pasa toda la season 4 melancólico y con un sentimiento de vacío, todo esto debido al estrés post traumático que sufrió temporadas anteriores. La Season 4 es el viaje de Judai para intentar volver a divertirse con el juego. Y tener un duelo con su ídolo de pequeño ( Yugi ) fue un buen recurso para que Judai pudiera volver a divertirse genuinamente, sin que hayan vidas en peligro, simplemente un juego amistoso. Por eso me alegra que lo volvamos a ver en Lazos a Través del Tiempo, ya que Yusei esta toda la película negativo… pero tanto Yugi como Judai ( Que ya pasaron por eso ) lo reconfortan e intentan darle ánimos todo el tiempo

What he felt was a friend similar to him that he got closed too much making them buddies with the same innocence and joy he had plus the way the duel and personality wise. Making something out of this is gross the same way how the opposite happens to that "thing" which is the issue in today's life.
