One of my more frustrating regional losses was in January 2007 against this deck. I had Dekoichi in attack and Sakuretsu set. Brain Control, Zaborg, and Heavy Storm (he literally hadn't set anything this game besides activating Future Fusion which had been MSTed) were in my hand. I had ~5000lp and the opponent has ~1800lp. He summoned Chimeratech with 4800atk via Overload and declared an attack. I had the choice of letting him kill the Dekoichi and taking it with Brain next turn for the guaranteed win or Sak-ing it to hopefully draw another monster. I ended up not using Sak and he ripped the Limiter Removal (at 1 copy back then) in damage step to take Game 3. Still salty about that one.

What a hidden gem deck profile! Deck is so cool playing Cyber dragon fusions in top tier events is such a cool part of yugioh history for me being a huge fan of the archetype! Always love seeing the deck in max rarity Joe, “the deck at its absolute ceiling” to the fullest extent lol. Really seemed like you had fun with this one I hope you continue your enthusiasm as your channel grows!

Joe i just wanna thank you for letting me remember good old days, i stoppped playing before pendelums were out, but because of you i ordered bulk of old format decks, and even thinking to start again playing newer fornat ygo(it kinda looks complicated, so many new cards).. do more matches( would love to see a match with each deck you profiled, to see how you think) Regards

Pendulum and link summoning is easy. I'd recommend the advanced format. It's as good, if not better than you remember.

Very good video, love when you talk about old school formats that aren't as famous as goat or Edison. I miss the db gameplays like the 2003 one though

Given how many continuous cards we have now that plus at activation, I can see why it can never come back. But back then, when everything was one for one trades, I get why it was acceptable limited.

Great video! Had no idea this deck existed. Was MST banned at this time? Wondering why they didn’t play it

I actually really like this brief format without Stein and before Trooper and Stratos. It's that kind of low power environment where the strong older cards got hit, but the new crazy stuff isn't out yet.

Joe! How did the players who were featured on metagame with this deck always opened with Future Fusion?! (Sjc Orlando)

There really wasn't once Overload went to one. Check out the Machine Beatdown deck I have posted for March 07. That is the best you may find.
