I've been putting in work on a 60 card traptrix/naturia sacred tree deck, I run an insect engine that makes everything searchable (also searchable insect kaijus). Gold sarc is ROTA for insects (Gold Sarc -> banish Resonance Insect -> send Gokipole -> search insect Traptrix). I'm really satisfied with my testing! Traptrix monsters are also now good Ties of Brethren targets just FYI, if you are able to extend with Sera and get another insect/plant on board you can summon 2 traptrix from deck before you end turn (Nepenthesis is amazing when summoned this way or off Sacred Tree when you have trap holes on board). 60 cards also makes it much easier to NOT draw double or nothing.

Honestly I think Dimension Shifter would've been a great mention. Great deck synergy and most decks can't play well under it. In most cases, it takes two handtraps to stop a turn but D Shifter accomplishes it in 1. (Dodges heart.)

Traptrix is a good deck, lost to it game 3, he gravediggered me 3 times in one turn and flood gate trap holed me like crazy.....funny enough solemn judgement did it. Game 3 i was gonna play evenly but he had the one solemn. Deck is a going first deck for sure. They are susceptible to vanitys fiend.

Yeah 100% a going first deck. One of the really good cards I didn't mention in this video are Dimension Shifter. It's one of those cards that you can side in that allows you to keep stuff like Scythe in for going second. Shifter makes a lot of decks pass turn, allowing you to still set up Scythe effectively and act as if you were given the option to go first.

Excellent quality. What do you think about using Frozen Rose in this deck? It can help your search for Dionaea or having some additional draw power and graveyard setup can be nice

So here's my reason as to why I would never play this card. It sounds good until you realize you're paying for more than you're going to get. First eff: You send 1 monster you control, you use Frozen Rose, and you discard 1 card (-3), you get to keep 1 card (+1), so the net value of the first eff is you going -2. That's a really bad trade-off. The second effect, while it does search for Dio, is also a -1. It's not as bad because it can help you get rid of something dead like a negated Parallel eXceed on your side of the field, but I just ultimately do not find the card to be very useful. Mark of the Rose is a lot more intriguing of a card I think if you wanted to try something cool!

just little idea generaider boss fight is a normal trap that can be searched off of trap trick may ask why well it allows you to play generaider boss stage from deck or grave (meaning only need 1 copy) again may ask why cause boss stage allows you to summon from deck level 9 (and if on opp turn tokens tell end phase) which can do spot removal/summon negation/omni negate just a tech choice to think over

Just I am aware of what Boss Fight does. If you check my channel, I have a lot of videos on Generaiders. The trade-off is terrible. Trick locks me out of my traps for the rest of the turn, allows my opponent to draw a card (potentially an Ash), and I'd have to dedicate minimum 2 fight and 1 stage, for how many bosses? There's no real synergy there in my opinion for competitive, but it'd be a fine fun deck.

Yeah Atrax honestly feels pretty garbo, it's mainly just another name since Nepanthes and Genlisea are pretty doodoo too :/ I probably am going to cut it. I tried Dagda but I needed to make room for Cerb which came up way too often when trying to clear Nib token. I dropped the Tornado for Redoer unfortunately LOL surprisingly the 300 atk diff was really relevant ._.

Atrax is great and deserves to be played as at least a 2 of. She's got good attack. Her effect to activate trap holes from the hand does come up occasionally. Her effect that stops your opponent from negating your normal traps is spicy too. Atrax + floodgate becomes an out to dragun once it comes out. Besides the fact she's occasionally useful you need her for the name anyway.

So the way I built the deck was to try and ensure that my follow up play would allow me to primarily a) Utopia Double OTK, or b) Stun/Overwhelm with advantage for another turn. I didn't show my side in this video, but my side consists of a lot of high impact cards that take away your opponents ability to play the game, i.e. D-Shifter. Compulse conflicts with that because it gets their monster off the field, and that's not something I really wanted my deck to do. If Utopia could swing for 10,000 directly, it'd be a different story

This is a nice tip-toe into Traptrix even after a year. Even at the time I wouldn't consider it in-depth since it doesn't discuss when or why the holes should be taken at three. Because of that the video doesn't age well.

Tbh all the other traptrix monsters you say play at zero..... umm no sir they are good at being played at one and they have their good advantages in this and other formats; NEVER underestimate cards you think that shouldn’t be play.

I'm doing this from personal testing and personal opinion on what I think is the most optimal to play the deck. I think 10 Traptrix normal summons is enough in a deck, considering that Parallel Exceed is staple and that you have to fit in hand traps for this specific meta. It's fine if you don't agree, the deck is very versatile.
