With effects that allow you something like this: "Once per turn you can: A)Add 1 "Unchained" card from your deck or GY to your hand or B)If you would link summon any Unchained link monster, you can use 1 monster your opponent controls(also hard once per turn for obvious reason, pretty much 1 more additional "yoink your opponents monster to make yours") If this card is sent from the field to the GY, destroy 1 card on the field(non targeting) What do you think? I'd call it "Unchained Chamber" or "Unchained Seal", something like that....Also a Link 1 monster would be nice of some sort that only needs 1 "Unchained or 1 fiend monster" as a material(or just restrict it to only Unchained, whatever)....

-Abominable should be a 3off, no questions asked. It is the in-archetype handtraps. It offers chainblocks, eats Apollousa for breakfast (no effect is hopt, so you can suicide 3 twins into her safely, then both destroy her and get the other lvl8 on the field, while you run over an other problematic monster) and triggers on any card being destroyed on your field (important for later) -Dark hole should be a staple. Clears pesky tokens from your field, unlocks mystic mine, forces spell/trap negations, boardwipes, and even can be a starter combined with twins in rough hands. -Nibiru is the best handtrap for the deck because with rakea you can lock your opponent permanently under 5 summons. Also you can always chain link 1 your nibiru then chain your Escape to trigger your monsters in the next chain. It has greater impact Game 1 than the others, games 2/3 you can change your plan to your liking. -Doublebite dragon is an excellent link 2 that can get very annoying very quickly. Taotie after testing prooved ineffective during the opponents turn, most of the time i waited for Abomination. I would rather run all topologics. -Mystic Mine should be a two-off since we dont have a dedicated Field. It forces interruptions, balances very OP boards and it's destruction triggers Abominable. Even going first if you open a hand full of abominables, mine, and an unchained spell/trap, you can get the 2 lvl8 on field. -Shifter is one of my favourites, but it's an all out card, and i play my unchained as control so i cut it. Lancea is great, dinomiscus is the bane of this deck. My personal tech option is Chaos Hunter (in addition to the other Spirit and Archfiend Empress) -Since i play both Spirits, i added archfiend empress and curse necrofear (great for returning banished resources and a sticky monster as well) and i frequently go to Rank 8s. Dingirsu is invaluable, also i really like 107. Access is a great card, dont get me wrong, but Abominable offer the same thing...... and the deck struggles on monsters that cannot be targeted and destroyed (Dragoon is coming) and IP: Avramax. -An other archfiend card that can be a problem solver and an extender is Archfiend Eccentric. Not only it threatens the buster lock, it can pop any of your backrow to start the engine. Also triggers abominable. -On side/handtraps etc, Skill Drain is excellent for the deck. You dont always need your extra, your monsters trigger in the gy so it can stall enough for your deck to get going. -Here is the value of Wailing, an other 2off at least (3 might be too much). It is 1 more card that gets your engine going, so now you have 8 cards in combination to make it work (ARuha Rakea and Eccentric). Its spell removal is also very nice since you can even unlock Mine and Drain yourself. After extensive testing, i decided that it has too much restrictions to be a full combo deck. If you notice during your turn ones, you end up on 5 cards. They are not +1 but evens. If you force it to go combo, Tour Guide helps a lot (tour into Rhino, Cherub send Spirit, Rhino send Archfiend Heiress, heiress get eccentric, eccentric pop an unchained card) enabling full combo with setup, but it is very fragile against handtraps. Or it need specific hands (like Tour/Aruha/Spell-Trap) I 2-0ed consistently my Eldlich matchups, too bad i didnt run on any Adamantia. It is a great control deck with calculated resource management. Fun fact, i playtested it with Supply Squad, then cut it for Ash, and damn i regretted it against Altergeist and Zoo. At the beginning it is a slower Upstart Goblin that can brick you, but after the second turn it stays on field its value is immense. You can trigger it on both turns easily. I faced a Last Warrior from an other Planet deck, and my imperms were Prohibitioned, and Squad helped immensely in digging for Mine/Dark Hole (note that Escape needs an unchained monster, and i couldnt get 1 face up due to the Warrior....)

I'm not too sure what you mean by no effect is hopt as every Unchained card is hopt. Dark Hole is a very good choice of a card and it's perfectly fine to main deck it, however in a combo heavy format such as this one, it just doesn't feel justifiable to play it over hand traps. I went over the Rakea lock in the Tips/Tricks part of the video. Doublebyte is a very interesting shout, and is honestly a card I didn't know existed until you pointed it out LOL. Definitely going to try it out! I disagree with some of your other techs as they either seem too slow or just don't align with what the deck wants to do. Keep in mind that I primarily play a go 2nd build because I think the deck is phenomenal at breaking boards. I think turn 1 boards are really weak for this deck. The only time that I find a going 1st dedicated build to be better is in the mirror match. However I think the game wouldn't be fun if we agreed on every single little thing. If you don't mind sending me your list on duelingbook or something, I'd love to look at it and try it out. Maybe there's something you're seeing that I'm not seeing.

@@bearxbear Abominable is a HOPT summon per turn, his effects are not HOPT though. Since Savage and Apollousa dont destroy, you can continuously chain block them while rotating through the twins until you get it on the field (probably with the 3k def as well) My handtraps of choice are Imperm and Nibiru, but in my area there are no dragon link ftk decks. Also many of my techs are for Games 2/3. Skill drain is for counter-siding when your opponent believes you will force them go first. Eccentric makes Wailing much better and it is helpful Vs Buster Lock and especially vs control. I dont like Ash this format because everyone plays handtraps and called by the grave is almost staple, instead i prefer to chainblock with Abominable. I too prefer going second, and between Mine/Hole/Nibiru and Imperm i have enough outs to oppressive boards to soften them up then proceed with the unchained combo. Games 2/3 versus control though, consistently drawing +2 cards between draw phases while popping cards with curse necrofear is phenomenal. I lost miserably vs altergeist due to not running them (side was triples of storm evenly ash veiler, then reboot pankra and 3rd mine)

The tour guide combo works really well in a 50+cards rank3 spam deck version, but it is for casual lvl of competing. prnt.sc/tm96nh With this build i 2-0ed eldlich, zoo, eldlich, mermail, tk dino, sala but lost 0-2 to altergeist. It really works, and can cheat out otks in BP due to rakea. Since then (about 2 weeks) i was thinking about Sauravis, because all the troubling effects are through targeting... havent tested it yet. I dont miss DRNM and this week im running it at 42 with 2 supply squads as in testing.

You're not making sense with Abominable. Once you've summoned Abom, he has no other effect apart from his on summon pop effect. How are you continuously chain blocking with him?? His effects are all once per turn since you can't special summon him more than once.

@@bearxbear please read more carefully, it becomes annoying. Abominable says it can be special summoned only once. The rest of its effects lack any restriction. I told you that he chainblocks the twins vs Savage and Apollo. Let's get it even more clear. Opponent ends on 3/4 mat Apollousa or Savage etc. You don't open an out, just rakea and Abominable. Normal summon Rakea. Crash into Apollo. Chain link 1 rakea, chain link 2 Abominable. Apollo can respond only to Abominable, so they negate. If they don't do that, Apollo is probably a goner, since you get a 3k beater on the field. Since the effect to summon Abominable was negated, you never summoned it, so you can do it again. Aruha gets summoned, crash it again, chain Abominable again. Now you can keep crashing to drop both lvl8, or just run over Apollo with the 3k def (3 twins make it 900atk), then Mp2 attempt to clear another threat. That isn't the greatest lines of playing, just showing you how versatile Abominable can be. It forces certain situations, just like Gamma vs Apollo.

Great video and explanations, but in regards to the replays, I’d like to see duels against meta/rogue or decent contenders in today’s game. For example, in the first duel, of course you’re gonna win because Scythe kills RDA. Lightsworns aren’t doing much as a deck, and the only duel with a decent deck showcased your loss. This deck has much more potential and better replays should be shown, I know this because I play the deck and know it can actually contend against Adamancipator and Eldilich, and other powerful decks

I can try to improve the replays but honestly, being a smaller creator and trying to get EDOpro replays is rough. There's the amount of people who quit when they lose RPS, the people who mess up their combo and quit, the people who open subpar hands and quit, the people who don't let you finish the game so the whole replay is ruined. Like if I told you how long it took me to get those replays alone, it's actually so sad lmao. I thought about DB replays since the players on DB are for the most part much better, but those replays aren't as good w/o commentary and would probably propel these guides to over an hour so ._. when I grow a bit more and can start up my own discord and have a bit more of a dedicated community, it'll definitely be a lot easier to garner better replays

I like playing a lot of Solemn counter traps with x3 Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood just to give me lots of LP when going first to be able to pay LP cost for many Solemn counter traps and also to be able to survive a whole board of huge monsters OTK and possibly stall a tiny bit to get cards I need...Works quite well and people don't expect it at all, also because not too many people run counter traps because counter traps are spell speed 3 and ONLY other counter traps can respond and negate them :P

Been playing unchained for about a week now, loving it vs any deck its slower against slow decks but thats fine as your resources stack really quick when it's a grind game. Had some trouble finding effective tech for draw power and efficiency but as the deck searches everything else out once you get 1-2 other cards its pretty easy to float everything else. I actually just put together the physical deck since everything got reprinted in the 2020 megatins. I've played it a crap ton online, so it was nice to be able to play it in person. We did like this big locals with our group of friends in a basement and pitched for prizing, and I ended up getting 1st vs some meta/competitive decks. I seriously love Unchained, decks so much fun to play. Glad you liked the vid! :D

I hoped my looooooooong comment helps you instead of just skipping it. Also VS Orcust, if Rakea got Abominable, then discard Pankra/Evenly and pop their Babel. It is in Damage Calc so they can do nothing, Digirsu would be summoned on MP2 (that means you can keep a twin) and your turn would be uninterrupted. Also the Twins were summoned on Longirsu's zones. you should avoid that knowing you are playing against orcust. Far Left (were nibiru is) is the safest place against them (the have to go to Longirsu then a Galatea to get the send effect)

I love this deck but if they had a spell card that allowed you to draw 2 cards by destroying a unchained monster you control, then apply a restriction like only unchained monsters can be summoned for the turn and a rank 3 xyz that perhaps banishes unchained spell or traps from your deck to apply the effect to the card and it’s a quick effect and if the card is destroyed you can set a unchained spell or trap from your deck. Then this deck would be tier 1 and no need to rely on extravagance

Thanks for the effort, sir. This is definitely a top-tier guide. I'm looking forward to playing Unchained. I'm not invested too much in it. Maybe more research into this deck might make me consider playing it. If only this had trap card support, it would be a lot more viable a trap card effect like: When your opponent activates a spell, trap, or monster effect while you control a face-up Attack Position "Unchained Soul" or "Unchained Link" monster and you have no cards in your hand: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. It will make the deck rogue level or tier 3. Right now it's kind of a rogueish level, but it's still kind of competitive if I'm not wrong. Anyway, thank you so much for hooking me up with this deck.

@@AlexanderXion For Extrav, a lot of people will say play Desires, but me personally, I just recommend filling it in with other going 2nd cards, it's just not worth banishing an Abom or Disaster off the Desires, and it's also not worth playing more copies of them. I guess you could do something like 1 Upstart + 2 going second cards (some options are Gameciels, Dark Rulers, etc). Replacing Evenly Matched is hard, I would main deck a Harpie's Feather Duster if you have that, maybe Cosmic Cyclones. Evenly is really hard to replace, I'd honestly just try to save up for them, it's a very important staple card to have. I guess you could try playing Mystic Mine too because a lot of decks are not playing any outs in the main to it at the moment

Since they're unaffected by monster effects, the effect will resolve but the monster will not be used as a material and the link summon isn't performed

I think Kaijus are going to become a very popular choice in the coming months with Numeron and Dragoon both coming. I saw that people actually play a Kaiju engine in Unchained but I didn't get to mess around with non-pure variants yet.

I like the analysis but I know people tend to take out Banishment the more competitive the deck building gets since the deck already has an in archetype way to recycle cards in Sarama also since it is a battle oriented effect more than likely if your opponent is even swinging it's likely they do have a negate live so this would be a dead card in the hand most of the time. the Dark spirit package was nice before sarama but now it's something the deck doesn't need and can the deck spot can be used for something more useful. - I'm surprised you didn't put Archfiend Eccentric in the spicy tech since it is able to pop S/T as a scale and a monster if summoned. also kind of surprised people aren't putting Red Blossom of the Underoot as a tech option since it can banish S/T cards from each GY to SS then tribute to Banish an Extra deck monster from the GY to SS a different card type of Extra deck monster from your GY.

Yeah I can see why, my list was originally inspired by Coder who I know is also against playing the Banishment cards. I was experimenting swapping out the Wailing because I thought it was extremely subpar and wasn't necessary. Like there were cards that just did its job so much better. I really liked the Banishment tech for the huge surprise factor it added to games. People barely know how to play vs Unchained as it is, so they're 100% not playing around Banishment and it's one of those things that can steal games. I personally am not a fan of Archfiend Eccent. , I feel like it's a really bad card and just because it has some synergy with Unchained, doesn't mean you should play it when you can play significantly better techs. Red Blossom is a cool card but I think it works a lot better in a deck like Prank-Kids than a deck like Unchained.

I thought it was inspired by him since he's the only person I've seen that has the 2 abom 1 disaster ratio. banishment is still a niche card for a niche situation which can be easily stopped if they established a herald since it won't be allowed to even activate since it needs to be send to GY to Activate . fair opinion on Eccentric. I do like that you didn't add Cherubini and Tour guide to the analysis since those cards don't really work with the strategy and people keep thinking they do just because unchained is mainly lv. 3 Fiends.

I think the Kaiju build got significantly better with Dragoon coming out, idk about Evil Eye though. Unchained is reallyyy strong going second and can break apart boards so easily, and being able to fit in strong interruptions is really crucial for the deck in the current meta. Maybe in a slower meta Evil Eye might be decent, but with how fast the meta currently is, it would not be able to compete properly imo.

Good guide overall. You speak well and don't stumble over your words. My only advice would be to cut out the intro at each new part in the video. It cuts the flow of your video. Other than that excellent job. Keep it up.

Yeah I just put out a deck profile covering how Im planning to deal with Dragoon, but basically Super Poly side with using the utility slots in the ED for Starving Venom, and Kaijus, and DRNM

If you play going second Unchained (as you should) then you shoulf already be maining 2 or 3 DRNM and that takes care of Dragoon as well as having lots of Handtraps which prevent him from coming out anyways

I don't get the nibiru chainblock. Which player activated nibiru and will he resolve in the next draw phase???

The Unchained player activated Nibiru. If Nib is CL1 and Rakes is CL2, Rakea resolves first locking you into fiends. Then Nib resolves as much as possible and just tributes the field, but you get to keep him in hand since he is not a fiend and cannot be summoned. That's it. Nothing more.

if you use rakea to target your set scythe it will not special summon itself due to ebing locked into fiends so i dont see how u plan to trigger it while its set

You can pop it with Escape, and also with Abom. Not to say that either is optimal but it's possible, and they're both searchable.

One of the funniest things that I love to do to Mystic Mine players: Play Rakea in attack, set backrow and pass. On activation of Mystic Mine, chain Rakea and have her destroy herself leaving no monsters on my side. End Phase, Mystic Mine destroys itself. Wailing of the Unchained helped me win grind games against Mystic Mine so many times.

Yeah Wailing is amazing vs Mine, I just play Evenly in the main deck and have Escape at 3, so I never have a real problem vs mine. Also 3x Cosmic + Duster in the side, Mine decks are a bye for Unchained players LOL

I know this video is a bit old but fair warning to people, Artifact cards aren’t as good in this deck as you might think, if you try to pop them with Rakea on your opponents turn you are locked into only summoning fiends and the artifact monsters are Fairy’s

Yeah, it has been a little while since the video has been made but not much has changed with the deck honestly apart from tech options. I explained it in the video too that Scythe in only really good alongside the trap that pops two since it doesn't look, and if you have a way to trigger Abom before getting locked

What are you referring to I'm confused lol, you just need to have Abom, Disaster, or the Link 3 as one of the materials to summon it. People just miss the "2 monsters including an Unchained Soul monster" as the summoning condition.
