Infernities, along with Cyber Dragons and Cyberdarks, are my favorite archetype. They just made Kalin/Kiryu's character that much more enjoyable, along with being super fun to play(I love all things roulette-based)

Its hard to believe but mystical space typhoon used to win duels. So funny story about the infernity archetype. People would often cheat by putting there monsters face down in the spell zone to use the monster effects. So to avoid being caught cheating when mst was played the player would scoop there decks and go into the next round

Depends how Konami translates the errata in the OCG/TCG if ever released. I fear they might take away the whole cannot lose even when you have 0 LP cause Konami can't make it to OP. Still, it would be great if it kept faithful to its anime errata while also not making it to broken. If they were to release it, Climber and Burst in a future Collection Pack or any set that's committed to printing anime cards, how would they adapt the effects while also buffing them up if possible to meet the standards of the current meta?

@@ohmy090 i see Zero being printed with a concept such as this " if this card is in your GY and you have no cards in your hand, you can banish this card and then put up to 5 ZERO tokens on this banished card for each time your opponent may inflict damage to you. If this card has 5 ZERO tokens, you take damage equal to half of the damage you may have taken while Infernity ZERO effect was active. While this effect is active you recieve no damage, and Infernity monsters can't be destroyed by battle. You can use the effects of Infernity ZERO once per Duel"

@@Mario-xh1lq I think Hundred-Eyes Dragon is only associated with the Infernity archetype because it was their secondary boss monster in the anime during the Dark Signers arc, even though it has no need for an empty hand; unlike Void Ogre which specifically requires one, mainly because Kalin used it in the manga.

Infernity was my favorite and one of my best archtypes (even with Archfiend and Launcher limited). Even to this day I still use them but on Nexus not Links. Also didn't know they got new support so thanks for that update. At their hype my ratio with Infernity was 70/30. However I feel as though there is one monster you missed that should be on this list. While he doesn't have Infernity in his name he was use by Kalin in his Infernity Deck (which it synergizes well with), has a No Hand ability like an Infernity, and was Kalin's ace card in the Manga. That being: VOID OGRE DRAGON It's a Level 8, Dark Attribute, Dragon Type Synchro Monster, with 3000 Attack and Defense. Requires 1 Dark Tuner monster and 1 or More non-Tuner monsters. This card's effect is: Once per turn, during either players turn; when your opponent activates a Spell/Trap while you have no cards in your hand you can Negate the activation and destroy it.

FUN FACT: Infernity Randomizer had the potential to be a good 1-of, however since the burn effect of its draw happens directly after you draw a monster, it actually makes Infernity Archfiend Miss timing.

Love that artwork for Verde/TGS Anime, its so simple, yet so cool! I really love Infernity archetype and im playing it in Duel Links. Its fun and once you start your "handless combo" it can be a real threat! Edit: Wave-Motion Inferno is also a skill in Duel Links

Infernity Dwarf: Whilst you have no cards in your hand, monsters you control inflict piercing combat damage. I still don't understand why they have thousands of different styles of writing such a simple effect. And they're not even coherent in how they're written , unlike games that use keywords for effects often used on their cards, such as piercing battle damage.

This video is... Shorter than i thought it would be, but there are 2 cards i know of that disrupt this archetype's playstyle: Destiny Hero Defender, it's bulky with 2700 defense points, and the opponent draws 2 cards, and Concentrated Light, a light attribute monster that shuts down the effects of all dark attributed monsters, and it can't be destroyed by them either. In addition any damage from a dark monster battling it is reduced to zero

I used to use an Infernity deck back in Tag Force 5 on PSP. Rarely ever lost. Although I wish they hadn't nerfed Hundred Eyes Dragon to be useless in the TCG. I know its anime counterpart was incredibly OP, but a "choose one dark monster in your GY and gain its effect once per either player's turn" would have been enough.

Further trivia: the medieval themed cards along with Void Ogre Dragon were used by the manga version of Kalin while the much more awesome western themed ones were used by his anime version. And don't just take the awesome part from me. There is a reason why Konami used those design elements for the new support. This archetype is one of my favorites thematically, but not one I really like to play outside of Duel Links since in the TCG almost all the key cards are limited in addition to hand traps being key to the current meta. At least in Duel Links I can run Kiteroid because of the GY effect. One final note: I love Over the Nexus especially since your character grows up in Crash Town and you have a pretty original adventure for some chapters, but I hate tagging with Kalin when facing Lawton. Why? The Tag Partner AI is stupid. Because the duel is a 2v1, Lawton starts with a 10 card hand. He's still playing burn and can OTK you just from playing his entire hand. It happened to me 3 times in a row and is why I spend the first chance to rematch someone in Crash Town dueling West. An easy win after I work on getting the button presses right just so I can go first against Lawton and get out my anti-burn field. How does Kalin apply? That idiot AI can, and has on multiple replays, ruin my entire set-up just to poke Lawton who immediately burns us to death on the next turn. I have to get a quick time event done flawlessly, get the perfect opening hand so I can set-up the right defenses and then pray to whatever deity will listen that Kalin will not ruin the board before we can win.

I played the deck ever since debut and main it for almost six years. While the lost of chain does hurt nothing will ever amend the loss of Archfiend trio. I still pray for Archfiend to go back to 3 someday in the near future.
