Hey guys! Just recently got back into playing after buying Legacy of the Duelist on Steam. I took a break for a solid 3 or 4 years. Found the main TeamAPS channel and super excited to have found this deck profile! I mained Six Sam when I was playing and very cool to see an updated version and that people still run the archetype.

Its my absolute favorite deck, but Sadly very weak. Just 1 handtrap stops the deck. I hope they will get tier 0 support. Legendary ronins i am waiting for you!

Personally would run mizuho and shinai at 3. They are the bread and butter that puts most six sam decks together these days. Plus 3 kizaru can be pretty bricky. You don't really want him in your starting hand but he does extend plays when summoned off saryuja. Kizaru is almost 100% of the time searched off gateway. Also...you look dead inside man. Guessing you see the worst of people out there considering what your job is.

Its objectively correct to play mizuho and shinai at 2 copies since they do not have synergy with themselves aka if u draw 3 mizuhos and no shinai u have 3 ded monsters in hand and vice versa

On top of that(dpygo ref) both mizuho and shinai do not have synergy with kizaru/hatsume/legendary secret

Only kageki and kizan should be played at maximum copies since they can work with any six samurai

Also kizaru is never searched off of gateway, u mainly search kizan and grandmasters as well as mizuho and shinai so those 4 r the only samurais that can special summon themselves, searching anything else is a waste of bushido counters(kageki/fuma/kizaru/hatsume/legendary secret/etc) unless ofc if u have extra bushido counters or if u already finished the combo and u want to thin the deck out(use all bushido counters to add all six sams from deck to hand)so saryuja can dig even more efficiently

I really like the 2/2/1 ratio on the bamboo engine, ive noticed i brick when i play 3/3/1 ratio

Also shien squire is only worth playing if u have naturia beast in the extra deck, if theres no nat beast its not worth running the brick squire(since he doesnt have six samurai in his name, no synergy with grandmaster/kizan/kageki)

@apollw its a misconception, u dont need squire. fuma does the exact same thing, u can summon fuma with saryuja's 2nd effect, so u dont need gateway to use 3rd effect to summon shien's squire

if ur making 3 synchros, the 3 saryujas summon fuma 3 times for those 3 synchros. if for some reason u want to synchro more than 3 times u can recycle the 3 saryujas with daigusto emeral giving u 6 saryujas total, allowing for 6 synchro summons.

Try just another saryuja for a few draws or if you want a negate you could take some cards out of the extra and add in trigate wizard and some knightmares they are very easy to spam on to the board

This is a pretty cool deck and I like it a lot. Do you think it would be a good idea to cut the Zexal spell for another Called by the Grave just to give max insurance against hand traps or is that excessive in your opinion?

Depends on your preference. If you want to cut it for another called then you could also cut the two utopias and have room for two other monsters then that would be cool

Hey Larry, I think the deck is perfect. In my build I run an F.A. Dawn Dragster. I only have 1 Apollousa which is in another deck, but I felt Borreload Savage and Dawn Dragster can be just as good.

@@burningcole2538 Shien's Footsolider, no. I ended up replacing it with a 2nd copy of Secret Six Samurai Fuma. And a copy of 1 for 1 isn't bad either. But yes to Naturia Beast. I still believe it's a staple in that deck, but one of the last to be set up. I play 2 copies of Fuma to summon Herald of the Arc Light sooner to get around Nibiru since 6 samurais spam out summons like crazy.

Because temple doesn’t give you any advantage and is what we call a “do nothing” card
