Thanks, man. For a new player, this game is really frustrating. The opponent's turn seems like endless summoning of this and that, while my turn is just setting basic cards and traps.

Man, I really wanted to give this game a chance but it was a rough afternoon. Did the tutorials, built the decks, and every game seemed to go like this: I play a monster with, like, 1500 power or something and a trap/spell card or two. My turn takes 20 seconds. Opponent's turn goes on for what seems like forever, they end the turn with a 3,000 power monster and a field of trap cards or some such. Almost every game went like this. I did not feel like I was going up against "casual" newbies like myself. Game does not seem to be new player friendly. Which is a shame. Oh well. At least it was free to try.

@@TheZombiegenesis Yeah I get that, the initial hurdles are hard to get over. The game has changed a lot over the years and now it's a combo fest, sadly that's not everyone's cup of tea. Kudo's for giving it a fair shot though!

This game is no longer about attacking and defending, but rather defeating in 1 turn. 😢

@@bayuandriyan9593 There's a lot less turns, but a lot more goes on in a turn. The game has changed, and so has deckbuilding (Handtraps, board breakers to deal with insane turn 1 boards,...), but trap decks and sky striker are great options if you want a more interactive and simplified game imo .

Yeah its unfair, my brother plays against me, 1turn i played 1 monster and 1 trap, then my brithers turn he zieht so viele Karten bis er komplett exofia hat nach einem zug

For me as a new returning player I’ve decided to get 3 blue eyes structure decks, unlocked the secret blue eyes pack and pulled until I got what I needed to create a good Blue Eyes Deck. Dismantled unwanted UR cards and crafted priory hand traps like 3 ash, impermanence and maxxc. I feel those trio of hand traps is necessary to somehow stand a chance when playing ranked. Thx for the code I’ll unlock those 30 free packs and hope to pull good.

@@duncanedgin9433 Yeah it's my favourite deck, not really on the current power level but fusing away a whole board with clockwork night and otk'ing afterwards just can't be beat imo hahaha.

@@kevinrojas900 I would buy one bundle (probably the infinite impermanence or ash blossom bundle) and then craft 1 card from the cyber dragon pack to open that. Example deck lists are in the description, hope they help! Also don't stress it too much, gems will come and go, messing up and learning is part of the process. Just have fun!

Thanks for the video man,as a starter it was hard for me to understand such cards and its abilities but your video helped me out especially the one u recommended which is the cybernetic,i removed some cards that i dont understand or hard to use and now im almost to platinum! :)

Started 3 days back and very new to yu-hi-oh completely and this Vid saved me been breaking my head for 3 days now trying to build a deck and i didnt want to use my gems cuz i thought i would fuck up creating one and got scared of duels so havent entered them at all but this helped a lot with the swordsoul choice cuz its free and also would you recommend the mathmech transition frm the cyber deck you showed this video? Just curious cuz it seems less expensive to build compared to other meta decks. Great video again much love brother

@@shaileshkalai9421 Happy to help! And don't be scared to make mistakes, gems come and go, the most important part is having fun 😊. And I'm not that familiar with mathmechs to be honest, the main deck seems really cheap but the extra deck is not while also being spread out over many packs. If you want a relatively cheap competitive deck outside of Swordsoul I would probably advise Runick. It's mainly contained within one pack (alongside generaider which can be a fun deck) and it can be mixed with a lot of other decks with great results, I personally am not a fan of it though (difficult and control heavy) but maybe you are. An alternative would be waiting on an updated Yubel pack, that deck seems fun while being quite strong. I hope this can get you started on your MD journey!

I just restarted and i swear they dont give as many gems as they did back during Eldlich meta. I had a meta deck in 3 days and after restarting I'm a week in getting turn one losses, endlessly. Barely any cards added to my collection after all this time, and barely any wins. Its rough, and not very fun to start up with.

@@Ojamajestic I was playing on mobile and none of my emails have a Konami link. So I guess I have to start over. Just don't wanna waste time on an unstable meta where my cards will be useless in a month. At least in magic my black and red decks have been strong for nearly a year with only tiny changes every box set. So thanks for the video, saves me a lot of hassle.

@@KarmaHauntsYou You're welcome man! And yeah the meta decks can always get hit on the banlist at some point, I do find it easier to craft new decks than in MTG Arena though. But Duel Links weirdly enough has become my favourite way to play lately, just a better meta but it's pretty grind heavy, might be worth checking out if it's your cup of tea (also got a video on that hehehe (updates in the comments of that video are really important though)).

I new on master duel was curious about the Dragonmaid decks, its viable/any good? I mean, in a Sense i would be able to have a chance of wining! Also you would recommend create more than one deck? I always love to have multiple archtype decks in my yugi games

@@JackalEtheriasu Dragonmaid is ok, but if you want to get to the top of the ranked ladder I think it would be a struggle. Salamangreats will probably be a better choice for a mid range deck with a structure deck. And I would surely recommend having different decks since it keeps the game fresh (and if you have a deck for all the summoning mechanics you can also do all/most of the events), but first I would build a deck fully before that. Focussing on staples (ash blossom, Maxx c, harpies feather duster,...) is also always worth it because they can fit in most decks. Hope this helps!😁

@Ojamajestic I'm not no much into the ranked tbh, since I always feel stalemate when reaching certain point starting just to see the same 2-3 decks over and over. Thanks! I buy all the bundles except the Halloween one, I was wondering if it is worth it or save those 1k gems for something else, I'm debating myself to decide what would be the first structure that I trice and build a capable deck.

@JackalEtheriasu Yeah the meta can be solved sometimes. And concerning the Halloween bundle, I bought it because I like the cosmetics but if you don't want them then don't buy it. It isn't worth it when it comes to the cards because they're just master packs. And after building Swordsoul out I would pick Salamangreats or Cyber Dragons, Salamangreats are the best structure deck by far but Cyber Dragons are the most fun in my opinion.

@JackalEtheriasu Yeah indead, normally you got the Swordsoul core but I would build it into the full version linked in the description. I would buy the Cyber Dragon structure decks thrice afterwards and spend your other gems on packs for those archetypes, after that you can craft the other cards you need with dust from unwanted cards.

In the description you can find some decklists for cyber dragon and swordsoul where you can work towards. You can find other decklists on www.masterduelmeta.com/ if you want to build other archetypes. Or you can do your own thing and learn that way, but that might be a rough start. Hope that helps! 😁

@@dunnexrivera3272 Well it's not a deck I would typically recommend to a new Master Duel player since the pendulum mechanic can be quite complex, to fully build a competitive version it can also be quite expensive while not being at the level of the most competitive decks. A cheaper and easier alternative would be dinomists if you want to build pendulum ( www.masterduelmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Dinomist ) or one of the decks listed in the video description. I’m a little bit confused with this recommended deck. I follow all steps upto summoning cyberdark chimera, I then search for power bond but the only option I have is to set it, I can’t activate it, once I set it I can never use it?

@@IsSalty Hello there, you'll need a second cyber dragon to fuse with. This can either be done by drawing it, searching it or most consistently by linking chimera and core into cyber dragon Sieger. Hope this helps!

@OjamajesticHey thanks for the reply, but as a new player I’m honestly still confused. So right now I’m playing a game, my starting hand had cyber dragon core, so I placed it and activated it, pulling cyber dark realm from my deck, activated realm and placed cyber dark chimera on the field with dragon core, I then activated chimera to pull power bond, now I cannot use power bond. All I can do is set it, if I set that card I can NEVER use it. So what should I be doing differently? Is this not a 1 turn combo? Multiple times I’ve had to end my turn and then the opponent just kills chimera.

@IsSalty No worries, it is important to note that you need the correct fusion monsters in your extra deck. Normally you should have a cyber twin dragon in your extra deck. It requires two cyber dragons, so as long as you have two cyber dragons in your hand, on your field, or because of chimera's effect in the grave you should be able to summon cyber twin dragon. If you want to make this a one card combo you'll need to get your hands on Sieger to perform the combo I listed in a previous comment. @@IsSalty I think I found what the problem is, all cyber dragons except the level 5 one don't count as cyber dragon in the hand, if you have chimeratech rampage dragon in your extra deck this will not be an issue since it takes ' ''cyber dragon'' monsters' instead of ''cyber dragon''. @@Namroynn Swordsoul seems like the best pick for starters since it's rather straightforward while still being strong. If you want a deck that can do Link/XYZ/Fusion missions you can do cyber dragons (my list is in the description) or prank kids, both are also not that difficult but they can pack a punch as well (while being a little less strong than Swordsoul imo). If you're looking for something specific (more control based, or a really aggressive deck, or something with a lot of combos,...) let me know, I'll help you out! 😁

@@Namroynn Well it's rather easy and can certainly win you games, but if they can interact you'll lose a lot, you need to go second to do much of anything and it gets boring after a while (for you and your opponents). If you want a more fun alternative you can go for Watts ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJC2gqOZqa-WmZIsi=crAzCDPdm7X6WTpN ) or if you want a more resilient alternative you can go for tenpai (which will probably release in a month or two).

@@Ojamajestic i try to play numeron and it only takes me to silver lol, is there anything to do to make numeron deck a bit more resilient when facing other deck other than card like ash etc?

But in general I would play numeron with the following cards in addition to the basic package (3 wall, 3 network, 2 calling and 3 of the the rank 1's) for interaction, board breaking and consistency: 3x Maxx C 3x Droll & Lock bird 3x Lava Golem 3x Dogoran 3x Forbidden droplet 2x Lightning Storm 1x Harpies feather duster 2x Planet pathfinder 2x Called by the grave 2x Galaxy cyclone (for Yubel and Runick) 3x Ash 3x Small world (all monsters should have a bridge to wall or planet pathfinder) 1x Pankratops (small world bridge and good card) 1x One for one 1x Chaos Gate Sunya 1x Infinitrack fortress megaclops 1x Avramax
