I just wanna say I love this format of deck profiles. All of you do the best you can to actually explain your choices and what they do in the deck, as opposed to so many other deck profiles that show the cards and then keep going. Your channel manages to find the middle ground between not explaining anything, and explaining everything in a sort of condescending way. Keep up the good work, especially with these legacy decks, which are some of my favorite to play, and watch from you guys

Red Eyes shoul get support that synergyzes well with everything they have. They do have amazing cards, but their cards consist in sending them to the gy and reviving them... although the payoff isn´t particularily good or broken. I love their artwork and Red eyes is probably one of my favorite all time, but Cyber Dragon has much better support that actually synergizes and that's kinda sad cuz Red Eyes is a fan favorite from the OG series

Yeah, I mean... equipping is all Joey. Other than his multiple "luck" based cards, he really emphasized on manipulating monster stats and equiping his monsters with cheesy cards (and we all love that s*) But unfortunately we haven't got proper Red Eyes support. Let's hope we get it along the way

Love red eyes too. Ran a bunch of different strategies. Currently I've been useing the 3 fang of critias with the traps needed for the fusions like mirror force d, destruction d, doom virus d, and it works well they're great and come out easy if you don't have the cards you need

I’ve been toying around with a PK red eyes deck revolving around stunning the opponent with slash and the pk traps. It’s actually been quite effective.

Alright. Since you asked for different techs and card choices I’ll tell you what I do. My only real complaint with your variant is that you are only running 1 Flare Metal. He’s the best Monster red eyes has and he’s really easy to make. That being said I think 4-5 level 7s is a-okay and is more than enough to get a triple flare metal board. 2 Black Metal dragon?... I say 3 because he’s quite literally never a dead card. Nothing to equip him to? That’s fine. Link him off to linkuriboh and you have a search. But you can equip him to your level 7 red eyes then overlay 2 of them and you have a search. I would say bump him to 3 and drop insight to 2. Black metal dragon is just begging to be abused with that lack of a OPT clause. I never Found myself needing more than 2 gearfried and I never felt I needed to search him (I would rather search REDMD or Black Flare). So I scratched RotA off the list of mine. I don’t really like the King of D/Rhapsody combo. I never had a spell to discard nor did I ever have a spellcaster when I already had Rhapsody. The cards bricked and ended up dead most of the time. Cards of the red stone is really the only draw spell you need. Allure can brick or be unresolvable and sacred swords hurts you a lot. But cards of red jewel is just perfect. And at 2? That’s the best ratio. Silvers cry could be bumped to two helps consistency. Traps? 2-3 fangs is good. What’s your opinion on Return of the Red-Eyes? I’m still not certain about that card. Onto the extra deck. Everything good but I would cut a couple of the link 3/4s because honestly you probably won’t make them that often. It seems like you like them all equally and don’t know which ones warrant being cut. But what do I know? Personally I only do the qliphort-proxy d-link spider- into Saryuja as my 42 combo. When Dark Armed the XYZ dragon comes out in TCG you should add that, it’s special XYZ summoning effect comes out a lot more than you would expect. Are you running a side deck?

Return of the red eyes is very good, play 2-3. Also insight at 3 is perfect (a searcher and foolish burial for the deck).

Danis González insight at 3 is useless because it can brick hard core, there’s not that many S/Ts that you wanna search anyway (the traps are extras but you don’t NEED them, and fusion is only good to search turn 1 or when you need to Summon a big monster to win), return of the red eyes is great at 2, but cloggy at 3, I don’t know why people insist on using cards that have Hard OPT restrictions on them at 3, it’s overrated and wastes deck space, especially when said cards are already searchable. Return of the red eyes is a good trap, but it’s still a trap, making it slow and unreliable should your opponent kill it before you can use either of its effects accordingly. But IF it does go off it gets you Some decent advantage.

The thing i love about the red eyes is that it still can fight on par (or so i assume) with blue eyes still, the support isn't as much there like Red-eyes support though.

I run r.e. archfiend of lightning along with some of the staple cards. I like the usage of him being able to pop front row with his gemini effect if the opponent doesn't have very good defending monsters and if you are lucky, it can even contend with bad boys like blue eyes. It is just a suggestion just in case you don't have the new gearfried card just yet :D

This was my first legacy deck and my favorite monster set from the legend himself...JOEY WHEELER!! One thing I've tried and like a lot, take out 1 cards of red stone for an allure or desires and take out one of the gemini red eyes for a blue-eyes spirit dragon. Works so well with pulsar, helps with back row removal, and if you run return of the dragon lords, it's amazing!

Alex Fields if you are looking for other options to go into for Red Eyes. Me and my bud made a Red Eyes burn deck that focused on using Red Eyes Fusion into Comet Dragon to use with Inferno fire blast. It has FTK potential and we splashed in a small Critias engine. With the new Critics fusion, we found it added to the burn and the other Critias fusions like Mirror Force Dragon were nothing to scoff at.

i like keeping my red eyes as close to just red eyes monsters as possible so i run things like claw of hermos into red eyes dragons sword which could easily be game ending right there or used for slash dragons effect etc red eyes for life!. always has been my fav

I like the KOD with Rhapsody, I might add that into my red eyes build. I use the burn effects that Red Eyes cards offer, like Archfiend Black Skull Dragon and Black Flare. As long as theyre on the field after damage step its 2400 to the opponents face. I also run Red Eyes Burn to add salt to injury.

Thank for the profile! The only new Red-Eyes support I'm using is Fang With Chain; the rest of my deck is still Gemini/XYZ/Fusion-focused, with a little Synchro sprinkled in thanks to Effect Veiler. I believe the Tomahawk/Kind of D. variant is technically the best one though.

one of my favorite combo ( if it doesn't brick which it can ) is to run 1 copy of xangki magician so when i have flare metal on the field i can use both of them bring out odd eyes raging dragon and destroy their board and attack for game

I’ve added summon sorceress. She is a spellcaster, can easily pull a lvl 7 out the deck for xyz plays, and is a spellcaster so works with rhapsody

Throw in 2 Lord of The Red and 2 Red Eyes Transmigration, even if he’s removed he can be put back in play with Red Eyes Darkness Metal, anything with a dragon tag does. And having him is just more removal. You can search for the Transmigration with Red Eyes Insight. Lord of The Red Works very well with any Red Eyes deck and I think you should give it a try and see what you think

Archfiend of gilfer may be decent because it can clear and opponents back row combining it with Gearfried. Being able to pitch with as a discard for certain cards is helpful as well or even foolish burial.

I just wish Red Eyes wasn't the experimentation deck Konami treats it as. Every support card that comes out does something completely different than the rest of the other support cards and it doesn't synergies properly. It feels like the unloved middle child while Dark Magician and Blue Eyes get all the love.

Woah this is pretty close to my build of the Redeyes. I run the divine dragon lords with him like arkbrave and felgrand just 1 of each though. Paladin for search and revival giving some what of a soft loop with slasher. Twin triangle can usually pump out one or maybe even two flare metal first turn occasionally. Although it can take quite a few resources. Id probably look into maybe one Redeyes Retro for extended plays into it with the possibility for a searchable recovery option on an opponents turn, but i never thought of rashpemy. Either way good deal and keep up the unlimited potential!

I feel red-eyes needs three things. A rank 8 flare metal upgrade, a way to activate red-eyes fusion during opponent's turn as well as a (Blue-Eyes needs one too) galaxy soldier but for red-eyes that's level 7. Black flare bricks, Blue-Eyes alternative needs bewd, but if they got their own glaxaxy soldier retrains then they'd do phenomenal. Red-eyes one could special summon another lv 7 red-eyes from deck, hand or grave for example while Blue-Eyes could special summon a level 1 light tuner or something. Unique enough to work and differ from each. Picture a red-eyes structure deck and a Blue-Eyes deck coming out in like a red vs blue legendary decks thing but it has 5 promos that help both like a new draw card, purple eyes fusion who gains effects based on who you use. I dunno, just feel like they have potential but Konami doesn't focus on treating them with enough respect to make them competively viable (I main Blue-Eyes and although we won world's, I think it was mainly because most people were playing Blue-Eyes at the time for nostalgia"

Hey team aps. I’m relatively new so don’t laugh at me but how does cyberdarks x red eyes sound since they both are equip based. I’m thinking a combo play behind having a baby dragon set it gets knocked out by battle (kinda rare) you float it into a gearfried send to grave and then next turn you get it back out of the grave with a cyberdark card to get potentially another black stone of legend.

You should consider running Archfiend Black Skull Dragon. It doesn't allow your opponent to activate anything when he attacks, until the battle is over.

You could have Triple Burst Dragon as link 3, double Darkest Diabolos, Lord of the Lair and maybe Dark Horus and a single Trade-In. As Triple Burst has a tribute effect it will trigger Darkest Diabolos as will the Black Stones. Anyhow love what you put together

there was not a single Summoned skull or Bubbleman in that whole deck. You need those two to get Red Eyes Slash Dragon and Black Skull Dragon. :( Even if you don't like bubbleman, there are still way more warrior monsters like Bladedge, Avian, Swift Gaia (I think), Celtic Guardian OR Obnoxious Celtic Guardian, and battle steer OR Ox. I recommend Bubbleman, Obnoxious Celtic Guardian or Battle steer, though- in my very own opinion. Red-Eyes Gearfeild doesn't really count for me because he could have his own deck profile.

This and Team Sam’s profile are almost identical (Lightpulsar misses timing). The problem I see with Lord of D is if you only get Rhapsody, it’s completely useless and bricks hands since there are no other spellcasters or ways to special summon him

Because I main red eyes,cyber dragon and heroic challengers I truly feel that red eyes needs better support. I'm not trying to be greedy but honestly, blue eyes typically gets more support and more versatility in it's support as well which is much needed in red eyes. Baby red eyes dragon shouldn't be so limited due to the fact that there are so many cards now that field wipe without doing battle. Geminis are slow asf unless you're running two or more catalyst field which becomes bricky asf unless you have Lord of D and run Rhapsody equivalent to your catalyst field which isn't searchable. Due to this cards of the red stone has that advantage but still it bricks hard. Why limit a key a magic card to summon red eyes in this way? Do you seriously just want to to run three red eyes spirit? Then when an opponent kills off all the cards with the same name to cripple the deck? For me every card under an archetype is important and mixing and matching makes Yu-Gi-Oh fun but come on Konami allow us not to brick please and thank you

It looks quite fun...And i myself have been trying to mix all the different red-eyes strats...Except Baby dragon, Gearfried and Fang are way to fucking expensive imo...So i had them replaced witht he red-eyes rituals...Wich work in their own weird way.... Also it saddens me that you don't run the archfiend fusion....Like he is super dope and super burning....So i would just splash in 1 summoned skull (or maybe the red-eyes version) to get him out....Also Borreload and firewall and sarjuya to expensive as well...I am just here with a dumb borrelgaurd dragon...Aside from that dope af decks bra

I know this is an older video, but I have a question about the Red-eyes fusion spell if anyone could help. The sentence that states "You cannot Normal or Special Summon other monsters the turn you activate this card." Does that mean that if I have normal or special summoned before using this card then I cant activate it this turn? Or can it be used as a combo ender so to speak, using my summons before it and just not being able to summon after? Thanks for any help!
