Tell you what. A new challenge approaches. Play with this rule: You can only use one copy of a card in the deck, unless the card have another interaction with a copy of itself, then you can play two copies. Try it and let us know what you think!

Gotta say, I miss duels like this. Nevermind the fact that there's no 5 minute turns on either side, but the lack of archtypes or anything really feels old school. And yet the duel still works, it was still fun and engaging. Loved it.

The special rule for these sets, depending on the wording could really make these a broken series of matches. If it states "can be all types", or are concidered all types then cards that distinguish a specific type can be used. If it states "are all types" then technically the card would have to state specifically "All Types". Also, any card that does something for all different types would not work because all monsters are the same type (they are all "all types" so they are all the same), or the value of that card would equal to the total of all monster types.

Heads up: if I'm not mistaken( haven't played battle league in years) at 11:30 when you sent drago cause you couldn't toss out a core or reveal a dragon...if you had ANY monster as your 1 card in hand then it would have survived, idk what your card was but as per monster league rules you could have revealed an in hand air orca (for example) and drago would recognize a dragon-type in hand. Idk if it mattered but as I was watching I picked up on that and it could have changed a lot.

What Larry talks about in the beginning, how when you open a pack it essentially no longer exists as a sealed item to be re-opened later or on the market/in-circulation -- it harps on somethings similar to what I've been thinking about with video games, and the future possibility of companies like GameStop going out of business. Looking at the used games that they essentially horde in hopes of a profit, they're working as a museum where you can purchase discontinued product. So when they eventually shutter their final stores, what does this mean for the last few decades of games? A whole lifetime of physical media just essentially doesn't exist anymore.

One of the best moments I’ve ever had playing Yugioh was drawing the Winged Dragon of Ra, summoning it out, and using it to finish off my opponent right as I was about to lose myself. Here’s the problem. A- we were playing with an original copy of Mausoleum of the Emperor, which I used to summon Ra (it was a casual game, and neither me or my friends knew about the errata). B- we had a Battle Royale 4 way free for all duel, and the owner of the card was already defeated, but it was overlooked how that wasn’t on the field anymore, but to be honest, it was a Battle Royale 4 way free for all, so I guess it’s up to us to make our own rules? What I’m saying is, mistakes happen. As long as everyone is having fun, who cares? 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been playing Yugioh ever since 2002, and haven’t “quit” it ever. Now my family did move a couple times, so there have been years where I wasn’t able to play it with others, which was sad, but I still bought new cards and hoped that I’d find some new friends who played, and sure enough I did. Now I’m married and my wife plays, so I always got someone to play with. 👍 that being said, there have certainly been times where I haven’t kept up with the meta, and up until 2019, my friends and I still played like it was 2010 Yugioh. 🤷‍♂️ I am no longer friends with those who I played Yugioh with during and after high school, but last I heard they don’t even play anymore anyways.
