Yu-Gi-Oh! Sealed Only: One V One - Doubling Down on Farfa (Episode #9)

After finding a great deal of inspiration in Farfa, Distant Coder and Nyhmnim's Sealed only Yu-Gi-Oh! series I decided to start my own with a long time friend, Mario from Mario's Gaming World. Each week we will open some sealed product, build our decks and play a match of Yu-Gi-Oh! We're allotting ourselves $60 dollars Canadian each episode and singles are forbidden. The goal is to be the first to win 25 matches and whoever does so will receive a full case from their opponent.

In today's episode we attempt to make our deck a lot stronger by pulling Machine Duplication out of the newly released Maximum Gold set. We also attempt to make the deck more competitive with Cybernetic Horizon packs as they do also have Cyber Dragon Herz. Mario continues to open Toon Chaos as he still needs two more Chaos Space to make Lightworns competitive. He is also still on the Phantom Knight package and it's putting in an incredible amount of work. Now he did win the last match with his Lightsworn deck but our Cyber Dragon deck is now more consistent. With that said, it was a real pleasure putting this together for all of you and I hope you enjoy the very beginning of our brand new sealed only journey!

My suggestion is to start integrating the ABC cards into the deck, this was you'd have a powerful engine to rely on to make up for the lack of consistency in your current build, besides that, ABC cyber dragons are really strong!

ABCs are rare though. You can only get in out of a hard to find starter deck or equally hard to find legendary collection kaiba.

don't forget nib can be a galaxy soldier discard if he didn't summon enough times. Also, they can be in your side deck and if you see that he summons a lot, you can side them in.

Another week, another great episode. Gonna be interesting how things go from here. Guess one thing that can improve Ryan would be a River Stormer since its a Rank 5 that adds any Machine to the hand or GY, but that would probably take a while to pull. Another may be some generic support or another engine all together to splash in to help like Mario with the Phantom Knights.

I'd keep nib. Can use it as discard fodder for galaxy worst case. Also the rampage missed timing when it destroyed that fog blade (when summoned; not if summoned). Love the series!

On the nibiru topic: As soon as you've played it once, he kind of has to be careful for the rest of the series, so you can put it in, and then take it out of the main deck once you've instilled the fear in him, and then later if he realizes you took it out and stops playing around it, put it back in! Its something to always have in your mind, even if it isn't in the deck in a given week.

Thanks for the content! For me nibiru always a great card against combo deck, but well mario can play around it. Maybe, just maybe add some dragoon package to add spice for the deck. But machine dup is more important right now, also you can add almiraj to send core instead link into sieger if you want to. Once again thank you for both.

Pack opening asmr awesome as always lol. In the series do you guys side deck between games? if not is that something that may be included in the future when you start including floodgates or something else along that line? I dunno, I feel like having access to siding between games could potentially help with the consistency issues because that brick was pretty rough. Obviously it would be double edged though because you would both have access to side decks lol, Mario with more cards per game to work with may be a scary thing to deal with haha.

I think you keep in the 2 ninbiru as it forces Mario to respect it, which can put him in a tight spot and if he needs 5 or more summons to otk or stay alive, then you basically win the game on the spot if you have it. also it's a good safety net for if he starts to snowball, or gets insanely good mills. another thing is that further down the line you can out 4 summon boards with ease then he will start having to play into the nibiru. and absolute worst case scenario you can pitch it for galaxy soldier if need be.

I have to say mario’s deck has really good synergy for a sealed only deck which doesn’t consist of one archetype. The lightsworns mill the Pks an those can be recycled by omega. Good job 👏🏻

Another fantastic video, I think the zoom in shots during the battle, transitioning back and fourth between shots is a great strategy for retention. Also you know @Ruggles is gonna go hard when his theme song starts. I still believe the idea of keeping the nibiru is good because he still has to think of it and you can always pitch nibiru using Galaxy soldier. You can play DNA surgery aswell and make all the monsters on the field into machines and then just contact fuse all his monsters into Chimeratech fortress dragon 😂 I don't know if that's enough but it's a fun idea anyways 😁 my recommendation would be tho to play a cyber trap Deck instead of a cyber otk Deck :) I believe that would grant you more wins actually :)

As someone who has seen sealed Cydra: Nibiru is the most infuriating card. When its good, its a blowout. When its bad, man does it stink. One thing is that if you do pitch it, CDL can use it as fodder. And when we get the light charmer link, then that can be brought out off a nibiru and another monster, so there is that fact. Basically, keep track of how many times Nibiru would have procc'd and if it would have been good in that circumstance.

On quick note if cyberload fusion is chain link 2 or higher you can't activate rampage's eff to destroy s/t because his summon wasn't the last thing that happened. It wouldn't change the ending because fog blade lost it's target if i am not wrong :)
