An interesting thing you forgot to mention regarding the knights is that each of their names end with the suffix "-el". This is a reference to the four archangels, whose names also end with "-el": Michael, Gabriel, Rafael and Uriel. On top of all that, El is the Hebrew word for God".

To be fair, there are a TON of other angels who's names end with "-el" Those are just the most popular examples, but you also have Zadkiel, Azrael, Raguel, Jophiel, Raziel etc An important one as well would be Samael. Who later would be renamed into simply Satan or Lucifer

7:39 Here's another bit of interesting trivia between Seiyaryu and Serpent Night Dragon, but in the Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Monster anime series, when Yugi and friends were tasked to battle five evil dragons that were terrorizing a small village, Teá was sent to a dark cave where one of the dragons lives. And the dragon she was sent to confront was Serpent Night Dragon, the rival of Seiyaryu, and Teá's ace monster.

Yep. I saw that episode. The other dragons in the episode were Tyrant Dragon, Luster Dragon #2, Meteor Dragon, and Aqua Dragon (Despite that it has Dragon in it's name, Aqua Dragon is a Sea Serpent monster.) These dragons fused together to create the Five Headed Dragon (Five God Dragon).

Black Luster Soldier being rivals with Tyrant Dragon, Red-Eyes Black Dragon being rivals with Luster Dragon #2, Thunder Dragon being rivals with Meteor Dragon and Curse of Dragon being rivals with Aqua Dragon.

It's really cool how Konami can turn 1 vanilla monster into a really awesome thematic archetype based around a holiday and has an interesting play style. I do hope Konami does make Serpent Night Dragon into the idea you pitched. Also for Seyarue going from pink to platinum, I don't see much issue, but maybe the retrain version could have some pink highlights around it's chest and head to break up it's 1 solid color.

On the one hand, white makes sense for a light attribute dragon on the other, when I think of a white dragon, it’s always blue-eyes. So it probably should’ve stayed pink for the sake of being unique.

Actually, Seiyaryu isn’t the only card with a japanese name in English. This includes Hinotama (Fireball) and Hitotsu me giant (one-eyed giant/cyclops).

I was actually a bit of a fan of Seiyaryu. It was was basically a dragon equivalent of Dark Magician and it's art was really pretty. Especially with the foil Glad it got the "random whole archetype around __" treatment

I would love to have a serpent Night Dragon archetype. If it were me I would base it around the winter solstice. The darkest and coldest night of the year. Make it that it has some kind of freezing effect that locks your opponent down that they can't use certain cards. Maybe an effect that forces them to set cards on the field but they're not allowed to flip them face up and they can't be used as defense monsters. It's like they don't exist. So that you eat away at their magic and trap zones and their monster zones so that there's nothing they can do.

Personally I would prefer the pink color too…only cuz I had the original Seiyaryu card from Japan when I was in high school. I worked at a books a million where regular Yugioh mini tournaments were held every week and I was in change of it (cuz my Mom was the manager and she knew I liked Yugioh 🤣). A kid who was a regular at the tournament events went to Japan and came back with the card as a souvenir. Good memories…

Serpent Night Dragon is one of my faves partly because I pulled one back in the day outta MRL. I've been bringing up that it needs an archetype ever since Seiyaryu got one. Also it should mirror Starry Dragon but probably be the inverse. Level 4 DARK Fairies, Silent Night Dragon that goes in and outta the grave, and bouncing monsters. Plus be un-targetable by LIGHT monsters instead of can't be destroyed. Maybe even make copies of the spells and traps, but switch them so the Ceremony-like card is a Trap and Arrival is a Continuous Spell.

Seiyaryu, Salamandra,& Acid Trap Hole were my first 3 cards in the Yugioh TCG. I used to use them in my first couple of decks . Later on, I traded them to a friend of mine who was obsessed w/hallows. I got 2 Summoned Skulls, 2 Axe Of Despairs, & 2 Trap Holes

I already have a small idea for a Serpent night dragon which would be called Silent Night Silent Dragon Lv 7 DARK Dragon/Effect If this card is summoned from the Hand or GY: target one card on the field banish it. This card can't be destroyed by battle or effects of Light monsters. If this card Attacks a monster you can activate this effect: return that monster back to the hand and if you do this card can Attack again. 2350 ATK/2400 DEF I would like if this monster works like Starry Night Starry dragon just in reverse but I don't know what ideas would the rest of the "Silent Knights" would have besides being Dark Fiends

I loved this deck the moment I saw it revealed for Ghosts from the Past. It really lends itself well to a splash of other dragons to go for Rank 7 plays. Hyozanryu, OG Seiyaryu, Arkbrave Dragon, Sauravis & Odd Eyes Pendulumgraph Dragon (If you wanna go that route using Advanced Ritual Art), and cards like Dragon Shrine. Which is how I run mine. Mostly Starry Knights, but with Level 7 Dragons splashed in just for additional plays. Seiyaryu to me looked like one of the coolest cards, but I could never get one back in the day. It just always looked so mysterious.

This archetype is surprisingly one of my favorite deck to use in MD that doesn't have to do with anime (HERO) nor waifu (Dragonmaid, Exosister, etc.). Was pulling Exosister before and Starry Knight was also in the same pack, so I thought wth, let's just build both of them. It quickly grew on me due to the artwork as well as the playstyle that the deck brings. So much so that I managed to reach diamond rank, twice, back to back. Even against some meta decks, it is surprisingly effective on how it can counter dark monsters while having some recovery too. And the fact that most of my opponents have no idea how to handle a Starry Knight deck, it just increase my odds in winning even more. Like, I have no idea why, Starry Knight just drew me in the more I play it. I main HERO deck most of the time and that's because I like HERO mostly due to anime + manga (and all all of that hero reference for each sub archetype). Starry Knight is genuinely the deck that I saw randomly and be like "you know, you look fun, let's try you out".

Basically whenever she dules she gets more plot armor then the Pharoah in terms of dueling well enough that her opponent starts to think: Damn I think I'm way over my head here" until she eventually loses. There are better characters more suited for this archetype imo.

Prolly the number 1 Archetype I wanted to try out, but I just don't have it in me to start master duel and spend hours, days and weeks trying to unlock every single last card. I have no idea why Konami won't just release a game with all the cards available from the jump so we can practice with whatever decks we want and buy them later IRL if we like them. Seiyaryu will always be one of my favorite cards cuz it was my first shiny looking card back in the day as I got from the game funny enough. I traded it for a Blue-eyes white dragon with my teacher as I used to be in Special Ed. I regretted it years ago cuz I loved that card but I still have the blue eyes to this day

I've had a Starry Night, Starry Dragon for almost a year in Master Duel and a Starry Knight deck is one of six or seven decks I keep telling myself I'm going to make at some point. They've got searchers, can pop cards, potentially during the opponents turn thanks to Arrival, and have an omni-negate so they should be able to hang with some of the craziness running around if supplemented with some generic staples. Though, I guess there is the issue where Starry Night only pops cards if summoned from the hand.
