I was kinda neutral on the vid until the word "lyrilusc" dropped. When the archetype dropped i made a level 1 centric deck and i still love the thing in casual play. Will i make mine tournament capable? Probably not, but I'm happy to see the cards get some love

I think a fair amount of "casual" players knew about the deck, or some form of it, before it became popular in the OCG and TCG. Once you realize Simorgh protects itself and any card it points to while Summoning a floodgate card as potent as barrier statue for free you realize how easy it is to steal games. It's "good" now because Ash Blossom is for the most part non-existant. Also, unambiguous "I hate hand traps and they are the bane of today's game" comment.

Another thing I want to add into shaddolls is the fact that it’s fairly flexible Cards like magistus moon maiden turn a shaddoll monster into a free light, it can also play dogmatika and gain benefits from akpallone, and schism makes it so you don’t really need to play shaddoll fusion for more stuff

Buy 3 copies of Dinosmasher's Fury and assorted generic Links and R4NK Xyzs. Boom: cheap deck that can OTK. I may even suggest getting some Dinowrestler cards as well as the 3x structure deck (both normal and extra) to get Synchro support and one of the best Dinosaur monsters of all time, even though it's at 1.

It's really unfortunate. I left yugioh for a bit, and then when I came back, I took to pendulum magicians quite well. It was my play style. This was even before we got double iris and all the other dimension magicians. So the fact that that deck is constantly hit on the ban list or not given anything back, and the fact that the deck can still do well, makes upgrading my favorite deck difficult

Springans are decent but not powerful enough. I recommend tribrigade/lyrilusc or if ya do go with springans, pick up 2 copies of fallen of albaz and at leadt 1 of his fusions so you have an out to cards that cant be destroyed

Springans aren't exactly the powerful, but they are really fun, especially alongside stuff like time thiefs. I wouldn't recommend playing them irl until the new cards come out in lightning overdrive, as it doesn't really function very well without them, but once they do I think it would make a good deck for something like a locals (if we can ever get of the time loop it feels like we're stuck in right now)

Its not really good but I don't recommend any type of meta, combo,or extensive decks for beginners regardless if they're budget. I think Springans is a good deck for a beginner and once you learn more about the game and master your deck, they could get more support then you'd be in a really good position 😊

Def reccomend Spriggs. You can start pure and work in engines, since they work best with friends. Start with Albaz and Splind as others have said, then you have options; Dogmatika or Time Thief is probably the best, Invoked is cheap and easy to get (iirc) and my favorite are Kaiju and Machinas. Go second and blow em up!

My hope for a new banlist isn't actually a banlist (other than benten and vfd) but more so Konami testing the waters of releasing some cards. Like all 3 dragon rulers, thunder dragon Colossus, engage, Spellbooks of judgement, harp horror, and broadbull. (I know many of these, especially broadbull, would break/spice up the meta, but this allows for some potential understanding on how to prepare this format for Bersarctic, Abyhss, and the third archetype coming soon)

The main purpose of this would be to hit the cards that are actually a problem. Like instead of banning judgement, ban jowgen so that Magistus/Dogmatika can get some additional support. Judgment requires so much investment that it's literally a stun deck. The dragon rulers won't do much unless they are in their own attribute. Only two of the notable dragon link monsters can be summoned using dragon rulers and they are expensive and are quite weak to one of the biggest handtraps in this format being artifact lancea. Both of them were made in a format without plenty of handtraps. There's nothing going on so test the waters and then ban what the actual problem is. (Harp-Babel, Engage-Multirole, Judgement-Jowgen, Broadbull is the problem but it'll help Tribrigade/ancient warriors/Bersarctic for a small amount of time, collosus isn't a problem if it is at 1, and none of dragon rulers need to be on the banlist.) Don't just pretend that Spellbooks of judgement is an all powerful card. It requires so much investment that it won't pass the siding in any circumstance. Especially with thunder dragon Colossus unbanned. Same with the searching effects of dragon rulers. Yes dragon rulers have plenty of options, but what will the dragon rulers themselves add to that? The biggest buff would be the release of tidal because that would benefit mermail, who desperately need help.

Probably because Lyrilisc goes into their Rank 1 giving access to Zeus, but also because Lyrilisc afaik does a better job recycling. Harpes lose you advantage while Blackwing has more potential power, but can't really recycle without Whirlwind. And of course, Lylrylisc can still be special summoned with Barrier on the field.
