Little correction, the draw effect of the field spell is actually not HOPT, you're just not going to use both effects of The Black Flame Deity in a single turn very often. Also I am not good a deck profiles. :/

@@colinborg7238 it's neat, but doesn't have the ability to pull itself out of the GY like the other names do. You see it just enough at 2 while I suspect 3 will clog. I have considered 3, but it's not great discard fodder and does nothing until you set up enough. You're better off searching for it with a Small World if you really need it rather than trying to maximize seeing it in your opening hand.

What he was saying was that you can start with a hand trap and search any hour nam off of each other except Imsety and Deity because they have the same stats. Ex: you can't small world from Ash to Imsety to Deity, but you can grab any other name.

So Imsety shares a single stat line with most of the common hand traps. In this case he shares the Spellcaster type with Veiler and Droll, while he also shares the 1800 DEF line with the ghost girls like Ash and Belle. This means any of them can act as a bridge to search for the Imsety as long as you have the right card in the hand to start the search. Not only that but all the "Horus" cards share only a single stat with Imsety except the Black Flame Deity so each name (except Black Flame Deity) can act as a bridge to search an Imsety. It sounds complicated, but its worth learning because of how crazy Small World is as a consistency tool.

@@Sterl500ok got it 👍🏼 one last question. The xyz number 68 sanaphond you can detach a material to negate summons from the grave until the end phase of your opponent’s next turn correct? So my question is can I summon from the grave BEFORE I activate this effect? Or?

Lancelot is the not very good replacement. Honestly though you probably don't really even want to dip into the ED much. All your control tools involve your Horus monsters and without Canopic to reassemble the board, you open yourself up to OTK. I'd like to change that in a future build, either a blind second variant or a more dedicated control option with good stuff spells and traps.

Question: If you add Slifer, does it make the deck much worse? I was playing a Slifer variant before PHNI and it generated a ton of draw power

The deck is better when it's rank 8 focused, but I'd say you could try that for a locals.

Draw power isn't really the issue. You have Duamutef to cover for that when you need it. The deck has issues board breaking and having the board broken and if you don't get your setup right away then you basically lose. This kind of weakness is why the deck is played with other engines that can set up other avenues of play even if they don't have access to the Horus part. I think the Slifer cards are neat but they probably don't add much to the deck and I think the negatives outweigh the benefits.

@@Sterl500 Good points. I tested the deck yesterday and there's simply no place for Slifer cards anymore since you have to play 3x of the new field spell plus 1-2 copies of Horus himself. And the deck plays much better and more fluid without Slifer bricking your hand constantly
